We went to a children's resale event last week and got some great deals! They had a prize for the first bald baby to the "Bow Booth" and Gracyn won this adorable hat! Isn't she a cutie!! :) We took these pictures before church Sunday morning. Does she look like her Daddy or what?!

Moving Up!
Gracyn moved up to her own room and big girl crib last night. I am happy and sad at the same time. It was time for her to move upstairs and into her crib. She was moving around so much in the cradle that the pin that kept it still was always coming out. She likes to kick her legs and really gets to flopping around. We still swaddle up her arms, but leave her feet out since they don't fit in a blanket anymore. The noise from her kicking was driving me nuts plus she's so big that she was literally growing out of the cradle. She's not so little anymore and is growing and changing SO quickly!! I was worried that we wouldn't be able to hear her and she'd cry all night and be all alone upstairs. Nope...the monitor works just fine. I did wake up often and watch her sleeping on the video monitor. I kept dreaming that I was forgetting about her....it was awful! I really missed having her right there and hearing her little sighs in the middle of the night. But it was nice to be able to get ready for bed without fearing that she'd wake up. She's taken her naps in there all day today too. I guess the next step is moving all of her clothes back upstairs. It sure will be nice to have my closet back!!

4 Months!
Seriously...how can 4 months go by SO quickly!! She is getting so big and it's going by WAY too fast!! She is such a joy to Drew and me and we can't remember what our lives were like before she came along. We love being her mommy and daddy and watching her grow and change. She's sleeping through the night and she's a great eater....as you can see! Here are her stats:
Weight: 15lbs. 10 oz. 90%
Height: 25 1/4 in. 80%
Head: 16 in. 45%
She didn't start crying this time during my picture taking session. But, she was ready to be done--she doesn't stay still for long. I love how her arms are all blurry because she was done sitting still for the camera! It's SO her!

Tough Love
So...the doctor said that we need to make Gracyn have more tummy time. The problem is that she just HATES it! She doesn't just cry...but screams and wails when she's down there. To the point that when she's done, she falls asleep because she's cried so hard! We even went and bought some fun new toys for her to play with while she's down there and we get down there with her and talk and sing to her. But, she could care less...all she wants it to be turned over. And once I flip her over to her back, she stops crying. It's so hard to just watch her cry like that....but the Dr. said I needed to give her some "tough love." OUCH!
She absolutely LOVES her exersaucer. Once I put batteries in it, she could stay in it forever. Well...until her legs get tired. I don't think she realizes that she can sit down in it. The girl LOVES to stand up!

Gracyn's Favorites
These are a few of her favorite things....
Gracyn is still a huge fan of her bouncy seat. We still have to bounce it with our foot while it's vibrating..but it keeps her entertained for quite a while. We have to make sure we buckle her in now though--she likes to push off with her feet and she really gets moving!!
She's also started liking her activity mat more. She'll lay there and play for up to 15 minutes now and really gets to hitting the toys. She talks a lot while playing down there and she can push herself clear across to the other side too!
She just barely fits into her exersaucer. It really wears her out to be in there, but she'll play for 5 minutes or so. She loves to stand up. I still need to put batteries in it. One thing I've learned about baby toys...everything requires batteries and it's not a quick process....you have to find a screwdriver and pull like crazy to get the thing open. What a pain!!
She also loves music. For some reason, "The Wheels on the Bus" is a magic song for her. As soon as she hears that song in the car, she'll calm right down. It's so crazy! My friends have been amazed when they've seen it work!
Her paci is still a good friend, but I think her hands might beat it. She LOVES to chew on her hands! Every time I see her chewing on them I try to put her paci in and it's out again in a matter of seconds!
She doesn't really like the swing anymore unless she's really tired or if I'm right there. I put her in it when I'm ironing and she can watch me work.
And her finally, here she is in the Bumbo. This was her first time in it....and she really didn't like it because she was too still.
She wanted out in no time at all!!

Houdini
We like to call Gracyn, "Houdini." She can get out of her swaddle so fast! Those hands have a way of magically appearing out of no where. She's getting too big for her swaddle blankets, but she still sleeps so well swaddled up. I'm not sure how long we'll be able to keep it up.

Steal of a deal!
For those of you who know me well, you know that I LOVE to shop and LOVE a great deal! So, I just had to share my great finds! I got all these outfits for Gracyn off a website and the most I paid for them was $15 each! One was only $9!! Most of them would've been around $50 an outfit at a boutique--(Tra La La, Baby Lulu & Baby Nay)! What a thrill!!! I also got 2 bows that match some other outfits she has and a pair of bloomers.
We also got the girls matching smocked Christmas dresses for next year from another website. They were only $20 each! The real store is in Charleston and we're going there this summer for Drew's sister's wedding and I can't wait to stop in and see what else I can find!
Last week Amber and I took Gracyn with us for a day at the outlet malls. She did GREAT and was a perfect baby! I think she may have inherited the shopping gene....a girl can only hope!
