These Two...

   These two....have become the best of friends. (And at times, the worst of enemies too...) Their friendship is genuine---and their love is fierce! I pray that this bond only strengthens and grows over time.

These two...I've overheard them playing with others....and have heard them retell stories from the gym--they ALWAYS have each other's back. No one can be mean to them except each other. They are quick to jump in and come to the other's defense.

 

 These two...they really enjoy each other's company and play games all day long together...as long as Gracyn isn't being TOO bossy. :) We're also working on being a good sport when you don't win. Saying "Good game" to the winner is one of the hardest things to do!!

These two.....they might drive me crazy during the day--but my love for them knows no end. Every night when I go into their rooms to kiss them goodnight before I go to sleep, all the good memories from the day come flooding back to me and I thank God that I get to be their Mommy.

Lately...

Gracyn doesn't nap regularly anymore and hasn't for quite a while. But, at the rate we're going these summer days, I find her like this a lot in the afternoons. A 5-10 minute power nap does wonders!

This is my most genius move of parenting lately....putting them in the bathtub and letting them watch a movie on the little DVD player in the dark. They LOVE it!!! (Of course they were watching Frozen!)

Neighbor Wedding

Our next door neighbors got married a few weeks ago and we were so happy to be there to celebrate their special day!! Meme and Pop were also invited...so that meant our regular babysitters were busy! So, Gracyn and Hudson had their very first baby sitter--which Hudson kept reminding me that "I'm not a baby!!" The children's youth intern from church came over for the evening, Ms. Lydia. The kids had a GREAT time and enjoyed having someone new over to play with! It's crazy that they had their very first sitter at 4 & 5 years old!

Here's the happy couple, Jamie and Michael...and Michael's sweet Mama, Janice. My mom and Janice are old friends and Michael and I grew up together. So fun that we're neighbors now too!

The GREATEST Show on Earth!!

We surprised the kids with tickets to the CIRCUS!! They were SO surprised and we had such a fun night! We grabbed dinner at McDonald's before the pre-show started. (Seriously, that could've been the surprise because they were SO excited to eat dinner at a NEW McDonald's that they'd never been to!!) Hudson found a penny--this kid has "eagle eyes" and spots pennies everywhere we go!

As we walked out, Gracyn said, "That.Was. Amaaaazing!!" I'd have to agree!! We really had the BEST night making memories as a family!

Gracyn had this sign on the fort that she'd made. She's really into making "signs."

I will dress them to match as long as I can...I know my days are numbered! But for now, they don't seem to mind and I think they look precious!!

Nana got Hudson this yappy little dog for his birthday and it was a HIT! He LOVES it! I love it too because they think they have a pet now, a dog named Barkley! Ha!

Morgan's Wonderland

We headed to Morgan's Wonderland with the Tuckers and Darters the other day. We ALL had such a good time. The park is so neat...and there are so many fun things for the kids to do!

I lost count of how many times we rode the carousel. It was Gracyn's favorite thing! They'd just hop off one animal and switch to another and keep riding over and over again.

They all had more fun in the sandbox! They played there a good 45 minutes. At one point, I looked over and saw Gracyn making sand angels...lovely!

It was nice to cool off indoors for a bit.

Hudson loved "driving" this BMW.(And yes, he knew exactly what kind of car it was!)
