End of Year

Gracyn was a little sad on her last day of Pre-K. She said it was because she was going to miss her teachers and friends. Good thing we'll see a lot of them at the gym and the girls at dance class next year. I'm so thankful for the sweet friends she has made and hope that they can stay friends even though they are all going to different schools next year.
We gave the friends in their classes little bags of sidewalk chalk.
I made the teachers all new cups for the summer.
We met all our friends at Big'z to celebrate the last day of school. These girls, (Gracyn, Alexia and Piper), have been together since they were two years old!
Here's a group shot of most of the little ones.
We're looking forward to a FUN summer!!

Our Little Graduate

Our baby girl graduated from Pre-K. She was SO excited about it...that it was HER special day! Here she is walking into the auditorium.
Hudson was thrilled that he got to get out of his class to be there. He did a great job watching his big sister and was SO proud of her!!
They sang some really sweet songs.
She seemed nervous at times but loved having this day be all about her and her little friends! Here she goes to get her diploma.
Sweet group of kiddos--The Rainbow Class
Our little graduate!
Gracyn and her sweet teachers, Ms. Karen and Ms. Kim. She LOVED them and had a wonderful year in the Rainbow Class.
We are SO proud of Gracyn!!
Photo: So proud of our little graduate!! Kindergarten, here she comes!!
She can't wait to get to Kindergarten--and I'm praying that this summer doesn't go by too quickly!
Sweet brother.
Meme and Pop came to watch Gracyn too.
And Nana came too!
Sweet friends!
I picked her up from school with a surprise: a Sleeping Beauty balloon!!
Then, when we got home she saw another surprise in the yard.
I made her favorite dinner and we used some fun plates. And for dessert, we had a special treat to celebrate our sweet little graduate! She is so proud that she graduated and tells everyone we see.  All around there are signs and decorations congratulating graduates and she thinks it's all for her. It's so funny!
Here are the cheesy pictures that they took at school. I didn't order any...but wanted to remember how silly some of them turned out!
Kindergarten...here she comes!!

Stuff

The Spurs are in the play-offs and Gracyn was cheering them on. She went into the office and made this sign!!
These are Hudson little buddies, Blake and Tyler, from dance class. While their sisters are dancing, these guys are having a blast playing together. They watch each other's movies, play games and teach each other new tricks. We Mommies LOVE it!! The boys are happily playing, the girls are dancing, and we get to visit!! We made sure we ALL signed up together for the same time next year because having the boys happy makes a world of difference!! They are actually the ones that are asking when dance class is every week! Ha!!

Only in San Antonio would you see a mariachi band and a chicken dancing in HEB celebrating Cinco de Mayo!
A fun trip to the zoo!
When Gracyn popped her head up in the little bubble on top, the little prairie dog popped right up too. It was so cute!
The routine lion picture!
One day we were heading to Sonic to pick up lunch for a picnic at the library park when the sky opened up and it just started pouring down rain! So, we took our food to go and had a picnic in the living room instead!
This girl has really gotten into puzzles. She told me that she asked God to give her another gift since she already has singing and "arting" and he gave her puzzles too. Precious girl! She is SO proud once she finishes them. She's able to do them all on her own.
Not to be left out....Hudson started showing an interest too! He's also really good at them! So, I've been hitting up Dollar Tree for cheap little puzzles--we can spend an hour or more putting puzzles together. LOVE it!!
Gracyn's favorite thing to play right now is adventure. I think it has something to do with watching Wild Kratts and they go on adventures and learn about different animals. She packs her backpack full of things we might need to survive and a journal and pen. We crawl up into the play fort and see all kinds of different animals. She draws pictures of them and writes their names in her journal. Then we go for walks around the yard and see what we can find. LOVE her imagination!!
After that--we HAVE to play some soccer!!
So, I got a call from the preschool director telling me that Gracyn was in her office and had a rock stuck in her ear and I needed to come get her to take her to our pediatrician. The details were kinda sketchy...she didn't put it there, and didn't know who did because her eyes were closed??? I thought maybe she was scared to tell the truth?? Turns out, she was playing a game on the playground with her friends and she was laying on the ground, dead. Her friends were throwing rocks on her to try and see if she was alive. Hence, her eyes being closed and not knowing who threw it. I guess somehow, a rock hit her ear and she was scared that it fell inside and got stuck. I asked her if she felt like something was in there or it hurt and she said no. But, better to be safe than sorry so we went to pay Dr. Cevey a visit. The verdict....NO rock!! :)
Gracyn saw this blanket at Target and wanted it. She decided she wanted it bad enough to use her own money on it. The only thing was she didn't have her wallet with her. So, I told her I would buy it and she could pay me back when we got home. I asked her to get her wallet once we got home and she took out a dollar and twelve cents and then went on her merry way. I told her that the blanket cost more than that and she was going to have to give me ALL the money in her wallet to pay for it. Well, she lost it! You would've thought that I was taking a million dollars and not $7.27!! (her grand total) But I guess to her, it was like a million dollars. I told her that if she wanted to keep her money in her wallet, we could take back the blanket to Target....it was her choice. She really wanted the blanket AND her money. In the end, she chose the blanket and LOVES it! She drags it around with her all over the house. Oh, the life lessons we learn!!

Fiesta Texas

We've been hanging out at Fiesta Texas a lot lately. The water park opened up and we've been there twice already. The kids thanked us over and over throughout the day for taking them. We went on Saturday AND Sunday--they were thrilled to go two days in a row!! We've decided to either spend the day at the park and ride the rides or do the water park. Since we have passes, there's NO need to camp out and stay all day! We can go again another day! :) We're SO glad we got the passes--we've already gotten our money's worth out of them and the season has just started!! :)
Aren't these two holding hands just about the cutest thing ever??
They love to take their picture with whatever character is out.  I loved watching Huddy guide Gracyn up there. Sweet brother!
Thanks to watching Wild Kratts, they actually knew what a tazmanian devil was--but they don't really know who this character is!
Hudson said he wanted to go on the big roller coaster. He wasn't exactly tall enough--but he's not that far off! So, we took it for a spin. OH MY!! Drew and I did NOT realize how BIG. FAST. and SCARY this roller coaster was!! Hudson actually liked it and said he'd ride it again--but we're not doing that again for a while! He's SO proud that he rode it though!
Gracyn did NOT want to ride it....we kinda talked her into it. Here is her brave attempt to smile--she was really nervous. Which is funny, because usually she's ALL about roller coasters and Hudson is the more timid one. Go figure! After we got off, she told me that her legs were "real shakey." She wasn't up for round two!
They both had a blast in the gift shop afterwards!
Gracyn wanted to go ride the little kid roller coaster--which is more her speed. She hopped into the very front car--her favorite, and off she went....hands held high the entire ride!
When they went around to do the second loop, the ride broke! Gracyn was left stranded up there--she was the only one who was riding alone! I felt AWFUL! She did great though and told me it was just really hot up there. She wasn't scared at all. She could see me and we were talking the entire time.
Me and my girl!!
Yee-haw!
By the looks of them...I'd say the day was a success!!
Gracyn woke up when we got home and said that she had a headache and needed the cold eye mask and an ice cream cone. This girl always knows exactly what she wants!! Love her!
What a FUN day!!
