Library Halloween Carnival

I saw a flyer at the library last week about a carnival they'd be having for Halloween. I thought it might be fun for the kids but had no clue what it'd be like. There was a HUGE turnout and the kids LOVED it!! My high school friend, Jennifer, and her girls joined us there.
Gracyn and Alessandra don't get to play together as often as they'd like and they had so much fun together!! I think we'll put this on our calendar every year!!
Hudson played this game twice and both times he pulled a winning sucker. Gracyn wasn't as lucky--much to her dismay!!
They had more fun dancing around! They were SO cute!
Even little Isabel got in on the dancing!

Enjoying the fruit of his labors! :)
Every time we turned around they were playing another game and getting into the candy bags for another treat. I think they probably played each game five times at least!
I loved how Hudson put his arm around Gracyn here...sweet brother.
The kids got these dracula teeth as treats from one of the games. Hudson DID NOT like seeing anyone with these in. It really spooked him.

Church Trunk or Treat

After naps on Saturday, we headed to church for Trunk or Treat. Our little SWAT officer wasn't too excited to put on his sunglasses for a picture.

This is what happens when you wake him up early from his nap.
He recovered once we got there. Gracyn headed straight to the face painting table first. Sleeping Beauty requested a pink heart.
Then they made their rounds to the cars in the parking lot for candy. They had fun playing the games. When someone said to help yourself, Hudson did just that! He would grab as many as his little hand could carry! We had to have a little talk about what a "few" looks like. :) What can I say? This little guy really likes sweets! I've had to put his Halloween basket up on the refrigerator because I caught him several times sitting under the kitchen table eating his candy. He's SO quiet and sneaky!!
He got to talk to a real police officer--which MADE his night!! They were comparing their accessories.
We enjoyed our hot dogs for dinner. Gracyn gave me this funny look when I took her picture."What are you thinking Mommy?"
Since we still couldn't participate in the bouncy house, we enjoyed playing on the playground for a bit.
Such a FUN weekend!!! I just love Fall!!

Fall Festival Carnival

Our Saturday was just as busy! We headed to Big'z for lunch. Hudson and Daddy played a little soccer while waiting for our burgers.
Then we went to the Fall Festival Carnival at Cornerstone church. We went last year and Gracyn has been asking all year long when we'd get to go again. The had a blast! We went earlier in the day this year and there were hardly any lines--yay! All the rides are free and they wanted to ride them all! We rode the Ferris Wheel first.
They both loved this little play thing.
Hudson wanted to go play in the bouncy houses and since Gracyn still can't do that yet, she and I did other things. We're ALL ready for her to be able to play on everything again!!
Riding the carousel.
Here's what Hudson and Daddy were up to...
Hudson really loved throwing the baseball. He did this game a bunch!
He also loved playing on this bouncy.
Bouncy slides are ALWAYS fun!!
Hudson and Daddy rode the train.
Huddy got to climb up on the tractor as we were leaving. He was thrilled!!
Later that night, after we went to trunk or treat at church, we changed into our pajamas and went back to Cornerstone to watch the fireworks show. The carnival is right down the street from our house, so we went to a parking lot across from the church and set up shop. I'm sure we looked like a bunch of crazies to people driving by, but once the fireworks started we looked pretty smart! Ha! :) We had the perfect spot & it was a perfect way to end the day!
What a FUN day!!!

Friday Fun Day!

What a busy weekend!! We started out going to the zoo Friday morning. The kids had never been inside the butterfly garden, and I had free tickets that were going to expire, so we decided to check it out.
To say that Gracyn LOVED it would be an understatement! She didn't want to leave!
She loved being able to hold them and have them crawl all over her. Hudson wanted no part in that!
Then we got to see a baby monkey--SO cute!
Of course, no trip to the zoo is complete without visiting the snake house--yuck! These two loved seeing the cobra flatten out its head and stare right at them!
I'm SO thankful for the glass between us!!!!
Later that day, we went to get our season passes to Fiesta Texas. Drew and I had season passes to Six Flags in Arlington while we were dating. He lived across the street from it. We loved popping in and riding a ride or two whenever we wanted. Since the kids are getting older, we thought they'd enjoy going too. They were SO surprised and excited!! We had such a fun time!!
One of their most favorite things was playing on this ship. They're going to love it when the weather gets warm again and the water is turned on!
While Hudson and Daddy went on the "Belly Wash" (Gully Washer) ride, Gracyn and I rode some other things. We didn't want to chance getting wet. Hudson told Drew that if he got wet, it'd be okay...he wouldn't get angry. (This is the kid who changes his clothes if he even gets a drop of water on him.)

Drew said he LOVED it and wanted to ride it again!

They both loved riding the "Hustler". Drew said he got sick just watching us spin around and around.
Waiting in line to drive the cars...
Such a FUN day with lots of memories made!! We can't wait for all the fun we'll have with our season passes!!
