Zoo Days

We go to the zoo a lot--about once a week. They never get tired of going and we always have a great time. Having a season pass is SO worth it! 

 Gracyn wanted me to take her picture by the bugs and huge "nake" (as Hud calls them) at the zoo one day. Love her little pose!

 Daddy went to the zoo with us one Saturday after a run. They got to do things that we normally don't do when it's just me. They LOVED feeding the birds!

      

 We went to the petting zoo and they got to brush the goats and pigs. Fun times!

 

TROUBLE!

 These two look like trouble! I can only imagine the situations that these two plus Towns will be getting into when they're older!

While Gracyn, Towns and Ava were at VBS last week, Hudson and Brier got to play together with just the two of them. Huddy was so sad that he wasn't old enough to go this year. Gracyn had a blast and can't wait to go again next year!

4th of July

Better late than never....I just found these pictures on my phone--along with a bunch of others that  I never posted. At least it's still July....

 Drew decided to work on the 4th and save the day to take off to make a long weekend. So, we joined him for lunch at Cracker Barrel. It's Gracyn's new favorite place to eat. A store with all kinds of toys, candy and neat things to look at and play with while you wait to eat...HEAVEN!

Bubble Mania!

These two are crazy about bubbles these days. I think Hudson would go outside and blow them all day long if I let him. Too bad he usually spills half the bottle every time. Good thing we have a gallon jug of bubble solution to refill the containers daily! :)

He only wears hats backwards. I'm not sure what it is or where he learned it, but if we put a hat on him, he'll take it off and put it on backwards.

Time for Tea!

Gracyn LOVES going over to Mimi & Pop's house to have a tea party. That's the first thing she wants to do when she gets there, and she talks about it ALL.THE.TIME! She's very precise about how things should go and who gets what cups and plates. She ALWAYS gets the pink cup--and it's a complete travesty for someone else to use it. (Sorry Ava!) She ALWAYS sits in the same place and sits in the rocking chair. She ALWAYS has to have fruit snacks to go with it too. She's a little creature of habit--wonder where she gets that from? ;)

She enjoys the company most of the time! :) 

Hudson is a good sport and usually follows sister's rules--unless he tries to sneak a fruit snack off her plate!

 

Oh, the joys of having a big sister!

 

Picnic, Park & Play!

 We went to the park the other day to have a picnic lunch and play. Gracyn wanted to go to the "kids park," which basically means any park besides our neighborhood park that would have other kids playing at it. (We're usually the only ones at our neighborhood park.) 

 

They had a blast!

Here's what I saw when we got home....Hudson was fast asleep and I gave Gracyn my cup of water to stay awake--because if she falls asleep in the car, that's the only nap she'll take that day and she needs WAY more than 10 minutes! :)

Nighty Night.

I went in to check on Gracyn before I went to bed and found her asleep with her house shoes on. So, I had to take a picture. This girl cracks me up! 

 

I thought I'd snap one of Hudson too. I love how he sleeps with his arms up above his head like this. Once I snapped the picture, he moved.

 I love watching my sweet babies sleep!!

Underwear

I thought that by getting Hudson some big boy undies, it might inspire him to want to use the potty. No such luck. He did LOVE his Toy Story underwear and wanted to wear them over his diaper. He got to try them on, but they are staying in the drawer until we make some progress in that department. :)

His face in this picture just kills me! His eyes match the lobster on his shirt! Ha! And, when did he start looking SO big? I'm thinking that it's just the underwear that's making him look so grown up. He's still my baby, right?

Popsicles

Gracyn spotted some popsicle molds at H-E-B and they found their way home with us. She was so excited to make them and could hardly wait for the kool-aid to freeze inside of them. If you can't tell by their faces--they were a hit!

Deeeeee-licious!

 

I love this one of them looking at each other. This was right before they started playing swords with their popsicles and Mommy had to put an end to the fun before someone got upset because half their popsicle was on the ground! (Guess who's bright idea that was?) :)

Steal of a Deal

   You know what they say....two is better than one? Well, in this case it is SO TRUE!! The Cozy Coupe Car is always in high demand between these two. When one has it--the other one wants...no NEEDS it right away. It was a source of many fights. Remember this? She likes to lock herself inside so Hudson can't open the door. 

 

But, he's really resourceful and just crawls through the window.

Drew and I laughed about needing another one, but I refused to buy one and thought it was good for them to learn how to share. (Even though it was a pain to listen to!) Drew also wasn't a fan of another large item being "parked" in the dining room.

But, look what I found at Goodwill last week?? 

A Cozy Coupe Car for a whopping $7.99!! How could I pass that up? I drove that thing to the front and quickly claimed it as mine! It needed some cleaning, but I was so excited about the great deal I found! 

Hudson could not be happier!

Needless to say, it was a hit--they are both thrilled to have their very own vehicle to drive around the house.

 

 Oh, and by the way, once Drew found out how cheap the thing was, he didn't really mind it taking up an extra parking space in the dining room! :)

Presents!

Hudson got so many fun things for his birthday. This was the first time he really got that all the presents were for him. Though, sister tried to help--he wanted to do it all on his own! Gracyn got him a watch and some new sunglasses.

He's really into his accessories too!

This Digger from the Tuckers was one of his most favorite things. He really didn't want to open anything else after that either.

He couldn't wait for Grandad to get it out of the box.

 

It talks, makes noises, lights up, moves back and forth and lifts up the digger--pretty cool!

Unveiling a special surprise from Grandmom and Grandad!

 

Since Hudson is loving all things cars these days--especially driving them, they got him a Jeep. We got a two seater so no one would be left out!

We're still having Driver's Ed classes to learn how to steer, use the gas and reverse....it's a work in progress!

But, he has the time of his life sitting there behind the wheel. Let's not fast forward the next fourteen years, please. I can't handle thinking about that!

We're also still working on learning how to share. Gracyn can handle only being a passenger for so long...
