Pumpkin Patch 2012

We had to make a stop at the pumpkin patch this year...you know, for the annual pictures!
 

 Here's a look back down memory lane...makes me tear up a bit to see how FAST they are growing up!

Last year, Hudson 16 months, Gracyn almost 3

Two years ago...Hudson 4 months, Gracyn 23 months.

Trunk or Treat

What a BUSY weekend! It all started on Friday night with Trunk or Treat at church. The kids had a great time! Saturday we went to vote, to the zoo, to the pumpkin patch, to a carnival, and finished the day off watching fireworks. On Sunday we went to church, had lunch at Meme & Pop's and then they came over to babysit that night. I hope the kids don't get used to this much fun every weekend! Here are Mickey and Minnie Mouse--AGAIN!

 They've both changed a bit since the last time they went as Mickey and Minnie Mouse.
 
Gracyn had originally planned on being Rapunzel--and that's the costume that I bought for her. I got Hudson a dragon costume to go with it. Then, Amber mentioned that she had a Mickey costume that Towns wore last year. Since Hudson really loves Mickey right now, I asked him what he'd like to be. Of course he picked Mickey, and then Gracyn decided that she'd rather be Minnie. Thankfully, I bought a Minnie dress last year on clearance after Halloween for Gracyn to play dress-up with. The last minute costume change wasn't that big of a deal. I'm wondering what she'll end up with Halloween night to Trick or Treat in? She's said she wants to be Jessie again from last year, and Rapunzel has been mentioned too. I guess I'll have to wait and see who she feels like right before we go!

They had a great time getting candy...half the time Hudson skipped out on the game and only collected the candy.

They both did a great job at the bean bag toss.

Hudson loved shooting the Nerf gun!

Gracyn wanted a cupcake, so we went to do the Cupcake Walk game. Except she went right in for a cupcake first, and then played the game. Oh,well...she was having fun!

Phone Clean Out

Gracyn was making a picture for Drew with all of her stickers. I found her in the kitchen with them all arranged like this.

Lunch with Ainsley, Addison and Ella--clearly I need to teach my kids how to look at the camera instead of each other!
 
This is Hudson's new "CHEESE!" face.

My little lunch date. Gracyn had early dismissal at school and I told her that just the two of us would go to lunch wherever she wanted to go. She picked Alamo Cafe--her favorite!

Sea World

We ran a 5K at Sea World with H-E-B last weekend. The kids were THRILLED that H-E-Buddy made an appearance.

Hudson couldn't give him enough hugs!

Gracyn and Hudson became fast friends with Caleb.

I won 1st place in my division--being 35 has its perks since it moved me up to the next age bracket. :) A big thank you to Drew for being the one pushing the kids in the stroller and for making me run at a faster pace!!

After the race, we spent the day at Sea World. This was the first time for the kids to go and they had a blast! We started with the Elmo show. They LOVED it!

 

I think Hudson would've climbed right up on stage with them if I'd let him!

All of the playgrounds were a BIG hit too!

We enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park with Shamu.

They couldn't believe that he sat down to eat with us!

They both loved the carousel. Gracyn and I got to ride a roller coaster too--she LOVED it. Hudson wasn't tall enough to ride it, so he and Daddy went to play on the playground.

One last stop to see the sharks before we left.

It was truly such a fun family day!!

Slip N Slide

Daddy even got in on the fun--narrowly escaping injury.

Good-bye to fun summer days! I think fall weather just might be around the corner...it is October after all!!

"Tars"

This little guy sure does love his "tars." (cars)
 
 He's usually carrying a handful of them wherever he goes these days. When I tell him that he can't take that many, he'll grab one for each hand and say, "Otay, twooo of dem?"
 
 He loves to line them all up.
 

And sometimes he plays with them....
 

...and other times he simply stares at them.
