2 Months
Hudson is 2 months old....really?! I feel like the past two months have gone by way faster than the last two months of my pregnancy. I can't really remember life before he was here. He's started smiling at us...it just melts my heart! He is such a joy! The only time he really cries is when he's hungry. He's had breast milk jaundice--it doesn't hurt him, it just gives him a yellow coloring. It was hard to tell at first because his skin is so dark, but it's fading now. He's eating great and sleeping long stretches through the night. Last night he went 8 1/2 hours between feedings--it gave us quite a scare though when we woke up and realized what time it was and he was still fast asleep. I thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait until this is a regular habit! :) Hudson is growing like crazy. Here are his stats from our doctor's visit:
Weight: 12.8 pounds 75%
Height: 23 inches 50%

Triple Threat!
It's a BOY!!! My sister found out last week that she's having another boy. Towns and Hudson are 8 months apart and Hudson & the new baby, Brier Henry, will be 6 months apart. The fun these boys are going to have together....and the trouble I'm sure they'll get into! :)

Thought I'd get a picture of my two babies together before church this morning. Gracyn sure does love her little brother!

Hudson's Baby Blessing
We had a Baby Blessing for Hudson at church. What a sweet moment and a great time for family to be together.
Gracyn WOULD NOT take off her sun glasses and back pack for ANY reason....so here's our family picture....

Playing in the Sand
Gracyn is loving her sand box! Mommy isn't loving the mess it makes once she comes in. I never knew hair could hold so much sand--even after a shower and washing it! But, she has a great time, so it's worth it. Once the weather gets cooler, I'm sure she'll be out there a whole lot more....

Swingin'
I feel bad that this little guy lives in his swing. He's not in there ALL the time, but he does spend a good deal of time in it. He really likes it...and Gracyn can't get to him. :) He likes the bouncy seat too, but Gracyn can get her hands on him and likes to bring him toys, food, blankets, etc....and it makes me a little nervous when I'm not sitting right there watching him.

"Pack-Pack"
Gracyn has a new best friend....her "Pack-Pack." (Back Pack) She wears it all around the house, ALL day long. She even wants to wear it when we go somewhere. She throws a fit when we have to take it off for her to get in her car seat. She holds it until we get to where we're going and back on her shoulders it goes. She LOVES the thing! I got it from a sweet little boy in my class before I quit teaching and just got it down for her to take to church.(One less bag for me to have to carry:) This Sunday they said that she sat with her back pack on and sunglasses on with her eyes closed for a good 10 minutes and said nothing.( She's not happy with us when we leave her....but gets settled down after a few minutes.) I guess she was trying to get to her "Happy Place."

"Mee-ah!"
Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse!! Gracyn is totally obsessed with Mickey--and Minnie! She might just be their number one fan! She calls him "Mee-ah" and gets so fired up when he comes on t.v. She asks to watch him ALL day long and has thrown a fit or two, truth be told, when I say "no." It's a quick way to get her happy again when I leave though. :) You should see her dancing to the "Hot Dog" dance. It's hysterical!! I downloaded the song and she asks for it whenever we get in the car. She lights up and grins from ear to ear when the music starts.
I got her several Mickey coloring books for her to enjoy when we were in the hospital. One of them was a water paint book. She was SO excited when I got it out for her to do for the first time. I had her work on her picture while I got dinner started. She was doing really well....until I looked over and saw her trying to drink the water and she was licking the paintbrush!! Oh well....she had fun though and made a masterpiece. (She wasn't too fond of putting it up on the refrigerator to dry though...)
