This & That

Hudson has started playing basketball. This was his first practice.
I got the kids' valentines done. I wanted to have them done before we leave for Disney World so I'm not stressing to get them done when we get back. Gracyn decided that she wanted to do the cereal valentines.
Hudson decided to stick with the same as last year. (Yay!) Since he's at a new school....they'll be new to all his friends.
Poor little guy had strep last week. Thankfully I got him into the doctor as soon as he said his throat was hurting and he was back to himself that evening.
And, I made this new little number to hang on our wall.

Herrons + Hockey

Drew got tickets from work to the Rampage hockey game. The kids were SO excited to go!
We had great seats and enjoyed a fun afternoon together. (Family picture--with photo bombers Cody & Rod!)
Just us.

Pierce's Party

We celebrated Pierce's 6th birthday at Pump it Up. The kids were "pumped" to go! ;)
Hudson loves playing the sports game there.
Gracyn & Annabel. (The only 2 girls there.)
Fun on the slide!
Kerri got in on the fun too!!
Gracyn tried to climb to the top--

She made it up pretty far!
Happy Birthday Pierce!!

Skater Dude

So, Hudson decided that he needed a pair of skates too...so he used some of his Christmas money to buy him some. He's so pleased with his purchase!
He's got some work to do.
He's practicing and trying really hard to get the hang of it.
Love this sweet boy!!

Happenings...

Hudson is loving the bow and arrow he got for Christmas from the Hartmans!! He's getting pretty good--and I'm getting really nervous about him shooting it in the house.
Gracyn got a pair of Ava's old skates...and since she already has a smaller pair that still fits--Hudson wanted to take them for a spin! (He doesn't have any--and we heard ALL about it!)
Gracyn is getting the hang of it and is getting pretty good! She can even spin around! She's decided that she wants a skating birthday party for #7! Hud is still working on his balance. But, I'm sure it won't take him long. This kid is determined to get things and practices until he can!
Gracyn and I went to a family yoga class. She was so cute!! We really had a great time together. She said that she didn't like "chair" position because she'd rather be sitting in one. Ha! She took lots of water breaks! It wasn't really a work out per se....but a great time bonding with my favorite girl! She says she wants to do it again!

I made Gracyn a new pony tail bow for spirit days...

Alamo Bowl

Drew got tickets to the Alamo Bowl. This was Hudson's first real football game! K-State and UCLA were playing. I was a little sad because I'm usually Drew's date when he gets tickets....but I knew that he'd love it more and I was SO excited for him to go!

This is the first thing they got--and Drew said he ate the WHOLE thing and didn't make a mess!! They also got a Sprite and nachos....(and I think the food was his most favorite thing!) Ha!
So glad they got the spend this time together and share a love of football!
Meanwhile, Gracyn and I were having a girl date! We went to the movies to see
Box Trolls, and then did a little shopping. After that she wanted to eat dinner at Alamo Cafe, so that's where we went. Right after we got there, Drew called saying Hudson was bored and that it was half time and they were headed home. They decided to join us at Alamo Cafe---which really upset Gracyn because they weren't invited and it was OUR girl time!!  I told her it was okay and that we'd have plenty of times to have other dates!
Love making memories and getting to spend one-on-one and family time with each other!!

The Box

Seriously.....why do we even buy them toys when they can have this much fun with a silly box?! The bigger the better!!
Hudson was watching t.v. like this...just standing in the box, watching! Ha!
Then, Gracyn decided that she wanted to be a robot, so I cut arm holes for her.
She even took it outside to look for butterflies. She thought she'd looked more like a tree, so the butterflies wouldn't be distracted by her. Ha! Love her imagination!!
It's a tragic day when the box finally gets put into the recycling bin. :(

This & That

Here's a little of this and that....
Gracyn wanted a closet for Rebecca's clothes. But, she didn't want to spend $65 of her own money to buy one. So, she decided to make one out of a box! She's SO clever!!
Hudson LOVES his new Redskins jersey and house shoes.
Gracyn made herself into Elsa one day by taping ice spouts to her hand. LOVE this girl's imagination!!
We had to deliver newsletters to our neighbors. Gracyn was SO excited about this task! She got her messenger bag (kids meal bag from Subway) and put the letters inside.
Then she hopped on her bike and was off to deliver them! Everything was peachy keen...until Hudson thought it looked fun and wanted a turn. They were fighting and yelling at each other as they walked up to the doors--so we had to install the every other house rule of taking turns. They can't wait to do it again...Drew--not so much!
Hudson has made his bottom bunk into a fort...and he is LOVING it! He wants NO light peeking through. When I go in to kiss him goodnight...I have to raise the blanket and pray it doesn't fall down. Love this little guy to pieces!!

Fiesta Texas Fun!

I took the kids back to Fiesta Texas during the day while we were on break. It was PERFECT weather that day--the best we were going to have all week, so I took advantage of it!!
We rode the tea cups first.
Then Scooby Doo. Gracyn wanted to pose like she was running with the "gang."
We rode the "Shock Wave" all together, which is like the "Scrambler." We all laughed together the entire time!!
Hudson is officially tall enough to ride the rides by himself. Wooo hooo!! (Meaning I don't have to get on the rides with him!!)

Going for a ride on the school bus.
On the carousel.
Waiting to ride the train, "Miss Kitty."
We had SUCH a fun day together!! I have LOVED having Gracyn home with us ALL week and can't wait until summer break when she's with us every day again!!
