My Babies

I know I keep saying how much Gracyn loves Hudson, but she really does. She is so sweet with him and just can't get enough of him. See for yourself...When he is in the swing, she'll just sit there and watch him. She has tried to get him out, so we tell her to wave "hi" to him, and she's happy to sit and do that.

22 Months Postponed....

Yesterday Gracyn turned 22 months. I still can't believe she's almost 2!! I was going to take her picture, and post about it....but it will have to wait until she gets to looking a little better.
She started running a low grade fever late Friday afternoon and it continued throughout the weekend and she woke with it this morning too. Saturday morning she woke up with a rash all over her body, and it's continued to get worse. We've been giving her medicine around the clock, and she starts to feel better once it kicks in and then she feels yucky again when it starts wearing off. I called the doctor's office Saturday morning and they said to just watch her and there's probably nothing they could do. Drew took her in yesterday afternoon because she just looks so awful. They said it was probably a viral infection and there's nothing they could do. So, it looks like we'll be hanging out around the house a lot this week. Stay tuned......

3 Months!

Time is flying by! Hudson is such a good baby and such a blessing! He is growing so quickly and is getting fatter by the day it seems. The rolls just keep coming! :)He's started just waking up just once during the night to feed. The last feeding is at 10:00 and then he'll wake up again from 3:00-4:00 and then again between 6:00 and 7:00 which is when Gracyn gets up anyway. A few times he's gone to 5:00...which makes it so nice to get such a long stretch of sleep uninterrupted. We're making progress around here! He's such a little smiler. Sometimes he gets so distracted from eating because he just wants to look at me and smile. I made him laugh for the first time, twice the other night....such a sweet, sweet sound!Just look at how much he's grown!!

Hands!

I've found Hudson eating his hands a lot lately....He's also had his thumb in his mouth when he's waking up and hungry....makes me a little nervous...

Sneaky Little Thing!

Gracyn got into her backpack and learned how to unzip the zipper. The treasure that awaited her in the little pouch.....her PACI! She only gets it now when she's going to sleep or at church when we drop her off for Bible Class. I knew that she'd found it when she exclaimed, "PACI!" I was feeding Hudson at the time and couldn't get up to get it from her. She quickly and quietly made her way into the dining room, and here is where I found her....getting much enjoyment from her beloved paci!"Maybe if I look up, she won't see me..."She's at it again....

Potty Time....Someday....

Gracyn loves to sit on the little potty at Mimi's...such a big girl!! I really think we could get this potty business down if we didn't have so much else going on. She's really showing interest in going on the potty and other signs of being ready. But, we'll wait until I have a little more time on my hands to tackle that. (Believe me, I'd love to have one less diaper to change these days.... :)

Starving!

Does he look like he's starving or what? I can't believe the chunk he's becoming!
He doesn't look at all like the little baby that I brought home from the hospital!Trying to catch a smile...Check out those cheeks!!

Labor Day Fun!

We spent Labor Day over at Mimi and Pop's. The girls love it when Mimi reads to them. The only time they are both still!Jumping on Mimi & Pop's bed is one of their favorite activities...it's not something I started and is only allowed at their house. :) The kids enjoyed playing outside together. Ava and Gracyn are getting so good at playing together...now that Gracyn is getting older. But Gracyn is really enjoying playing with Towns now that he's getting older. There's still two more to add to the mix....
Ava loves to get into the hot tub, but Gracyn is not a fan. As soon as she gets in, she's "ALL DONE!"
But she had fun watching. What do you think?
This was right before a face plant into the ground because she got too close to the swing when Ava was swinging.Hudson even went outside to play.

Sisterly Love

Here is Gracyn loving on Hudson. We are so thankful that she has had nothing but love and affection towards him. (An answered prayer!) She has transitioned into her new role as a big sister so easily and has done amazingly well at sharing her mommy and daddy with her little brother. We are so blessed! She asks to hold him all day long. Her kiss is more like a lick! We try to make sure that she only "kisses" his head....

Fancy!

This little girl LOVES to play dress up! We've got quite a character on our hands....Our neighbors were having a garage sale and I stopped when I saw these costumes out. Gracyn has had so much fun with these dresses....But truth be told, she's loving the two matching purses that they threw in for free the most!

Bucket Head

She seriously puts everything on her head to become a hat....
Her baby gets a lot of use out of all of Hudson's things. She watches everything I do...

Monkey See....Monkey Do....

This phrase has turned into "Baby see....Baby do." I got the pack-n-play out so Hudson could have another "safe" place to be. I can't leave him on the floor and I want him to be able to learn to roll over eventually and he will never learn if he's always in the swing. :) Well, after I got him out of it, Gracyn was dying to get in it. She played "night, night." Here she is, "Eyes open", and then, "Eyes closed."
That's what she'd say each time she opened and closed them. She played in there a good 10 minutes. Maybe this is a good thing and I can keep her contained while I try to clean up without her following behind me and getting everything back out. :)
