Gracyn's 3rd Birthday Party

Gracyn had her 3rd birthday party at the gymnastics place where she takes dance. I think everyone had a great time--and I enjoyed not having to get everything ready for a party at our house and then having to clean up afterwards. :) It was a win/win for everyone!!

Gracyn had insisted on having a Toy Story party for almost a year. I tried to to persuade her to have a Hello Kitty or Princess party--but her reply was, " You can have that party for your birthday Mommy--I'm having a Toy Story party." So, if Toy Story was what she wanted, then Toy Story was what she got. It was, after all, HER birthday. I had thought I'd gear it more towards Jessie--but Gracyn wanted the whole gang there too. She loved it and that's all that mattered. :)

Here are the invitations....
and the thank you notes that I made....
And now to the party. Here's the goodie table. My mom made these Jessie hat cookies that I found on the internet.
Hudson had a blast!
Gracyn had a lot of fun playing with her friends.
Gracyn and Molly had a ball playing together.
I love the look on her face as everyone was singing to her and she was about to blow out her candles.
Thanks to Nana for cleaning up this little mess! :)
You'd never guess that we're twins or that these two little girls are cousins!
What a fun 3rd birthday!!! Happy Birthday Gracyn Kate!

{Three}

Gracyn is THREE!! How can that be? It seems like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital!
The past three years have been without a doubt the best years of our lives. What joy this little girl has brought us! She is a spunky, sassy and sweet little girl who keeps us laughing and on our toes!
{One year}
{Two years}
{Three years}
She loved every minute of opening her presents. We let her open the ones from us throughout the day and it was nice for her to get to play with that new toy for a while instead of being overwhelmed with so many at once.
On her real birthday we started off the day with breakfast at Magolia Pancake Haus.
Then we headed to the Disney Store so Gracyn could spend some of her birthday money. They both love that place!
She got Daisy and some Toy Story figurines.
After naps, we went to get ice cream at Baskin Robbins.
Sweet Birthday Girl sharing with her little brother.
Hudson really enjoyed the ice cream....
...when he wasn't running around going crazy! Good thing we were the only ones in the place! :)
What a wonderful way to celebrate our sweet girl turning THREE!!

Proud of Playing

Gracyn was so proud of how she'd arranged all her little people while playing with her doll house, that she asked me to take a picture of it.
How could I resist such cuteness?? :)
This Little People Dollhouse has been one of the best things I've bought for her! She plays with it EVERY day! I love watching her play. I could just sit and watch her little imagination at work ALL day long!!

Mr. Comfy Cozy

Hudson is our little snuggler. He loves to get up in my lap and cuddle with me. He'll just sit there with me and suck on his thumb for a little while. Precious! I'm soaking up every minute with him because the time will come--all too soon--when he won't want to do that anymore! :(

He LOVES this down blanket. He will drag it all over the house and just wrap himself up in it.
It's pretty big for him to carry around, and he has quite a time trying to get himself and the blanket up on the couch to cuddle up in. But, what a sense of accomplishment he has when he finally gets up there and snuggles up in it!

Hudson's Collectibles

Hudson has gotten to the phase of collecting toys and walking around with them. He'll pick something up in the morning...and it'll stay with him all day. Today it was a flashlight and Mickey.
Such a funny little guy!

Gracyn's First Sleep Over

Gracyn spent her first night away from home. My parents had Gracyn AND Ava over to spend the night together. She.had.a.ball!!! Thanks Aunt Janie and Uncle Marv for her cute over night bag. She was so proud toting that thing all over the house. She couldn't wait to get over there!
All packed and ready to go!
Walking out the door...
Then she went and sat on the front steps until it was time to get in the car....day dreaming of the fun to come.....
We're HERE!!
These guys have so much fun together!
She did great! In fact, she threw a huge fit when it was time for her to go home the next day. I know we're ALL hoping for more sleep overs in the future! :)
