Peek-a-Boo!

Hudson was just walking around the other day with a blanket over his head. It was hysterical!

When he figured out that we were laughing at him, he turned it into a game of Peek-a-boo.

"Oh wait, you're laughing at me? "

"I know, I'm so funny! I crack myself up!"

"Can't see me now..."

"Boo!"

Friday Fun Day!

Last Friday, Amber and I took the kids to ride the train and to the zoo. It was Mimi's lucky day and she got to come too! (I'm not sure when she'll want to go back though--we WORE her out!)

I took the kids to the zoo a lot last spring, summer and fall. It was always a great way to spend the day. We could go with anyone and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Gracyn would get in and out of the stroller to look at the animals, and Hudson was happy to ride around looking at everyone and everything around him. BUT IT HAS ALL CHANGED!!! This last trip to the zoo was a whipping--and I was completely exhausted when we got home! Hudson WOULD NOT stay in the stroller. But, can you blame him? When he sees Gracyn, Ava and Towns on the move--he's GOING to join them. But they were constantly going in opposite directions and several times, Gracyn got too far ahead or off to the side and she couldn't find us. The only time I could contain them was when they were both in the stroller. So, as for now, trips with friends to the zoo might be out of the question for a while--it is for going with cousins. They are just too wound up and out of control. I don't know what we would've done without Mimi there to help! Hopefully I can find a way to manage on our own.....crazy kids! :)

I think Hudson had the best time ever at this zoo trip. He was so excited to see all the animals. He just couldn't get enough of them and yelled "HIIII!" to just about every one he could see! Here he is with the monkeys. He would stare at them with his jaw wide open in awe.

A trip to McDonald's for lunch would complete the day!This is what I saw as soon as we got in the car. Wish I could've joined them!

Earrings

Gracyn tried on a pair of sticker earrings. She LOVED them and couldn't wait to look at herself in the mirror. She was happy to model for me and asked for me to take her picture.

So serious!

This is as close to earrings that we're getting for a while....

Hudson's Helmet

Hudson got his very own helmet! Everyone is glad that he isn't trying to wear Gracyn's anymore. And, let's just say that he LOVES it. See for yourself...

He, very reluctantly, let us keep it in the box while we paid for it and patiently waited for us to get it out of the packaging when we got home. Once he got it on, he wouldn't take it off!

Can you tell that they were both very annoyed with me for interrupting such important work? :)

Taking a break.Doesn't everyone wear a helmet when playing with play-doh?

Staycation

Since we didn't get to go to DC for Spring Break, Drew went ahead and took the whole week off. We had so much fun having Daddy home with us for a week! We got up every morning and went running somewhere--and ended at a park for the kids to play.

One day we ran downtown along the River Walk at the Pearl Brewery.

We found a park and the kids had a blast! This little girl is loving the monkey bars these days.

Twice, we ran at McAlister Park and the kids loved the playground there.

These two are getting braver by the second...

Who doesn't like lounging on the couch eating Cheetos--in laundry baskets??

We did a lot of playing too...they are getting so good at playing with each other these days. :)

Hudson was trying to push her around.We took a walk one morning...to Krispy Kreme for donuts. At least we didn't drive--by walking 2 miles we hopefully worked off some of what we ate! :)

Gracyn and Hudson both enjoyed their sprinkle donuts.

This little guy was in awe of how the donuts were made...he couldn't get close enough!

We're so sad that Daddy had to go back to work this week. It was so fun having him home with us, ALL day, EVERY day!! We can't wait for the weekend!

Bye-Bye High Chair

Well, it's official--Hudson is growing up!! He LOVED sitting in Gracyn's chair at the table, so we got him one too.

He's thrilled with his new spot! He's becoming such a pro at using his fork and spoon too.

Gracyn is showing us how she can look like a chipmunk while eating her grapes.

Hudson thinks she's hilarious...which just encourages her silliness!

Bye, Bye high chair! My babies are growing up WAY too fast!! (sniff, sniff!)
