Scorpions Soccer Game

Drew got free tickets from work to the local soccer team's game. We watched the game in the HEB suite--the only way to watch sporting events in my opinion. Unfortunately, the spoiling is few and far between--but goodness it's fun...especially when it's free!!
GO SCORPIONS!!!!

Bike Rodeo

Gracyn had Bike Rodeo at school. She's able to ride her bike now without her training wheels...WOOO HOOO!! But, not well enough to do Bike Rodeo, so we put them back on.
They had to do a lot of tests....Ride in a circle...
Ride in a straight line...
Stop and start.
Everyone kept telling Hudson to go find his bike--poor guy is SO ready to get to school already!! Gracyn did great and earned a ribbon. Way to go GK!

Viva Fiesta!

We celebrated Fiesta at school. Gracyn had to make a float for the Fiesta Parade. There was no discussion on what type of float she'd make--obviously it would be Frozen!! She was SO proud of her castle--and still plays with it!
Gracyn and Halle
Here's the Las Lomas Lion leading the parade!
Sweet girl!
Gracyn, Halle and Diego. We had a Fiesta party in her classroom after the parade. They had nachos, made maracas, played Bingo, made tissue paper flowers and got tattoos. It was a fun afternoon!!

Kindergarten Field Trip

Gracyn's class took a field trip to Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch. I was chosen to go as a chaperone!
We got to get up close and personal with the giraffes!

 Gracyn and her friend, Halle.
We stayed on the bus and drove through the park looking at the animals.
The ostrich was quite frisky! He almost got his head inside the bus window!!
Then we went to the petting zoo to play with the goats.
I'm so glad that I got to spend this day with Gracyn and share this memory with her!

D.C. Trip Part 3

Hudson had going to the Air & Space museum on his list...so we headed out there.
Stealth Bomber
We went up to the observation tower and watched planes land and listened to the air traffic controllers talking to the pilots on the planes.
Checked out the space shuttle, Discovery.
It took 39 trips into space before retiring.
The Concord Jet.
On the last afternoon, Drew really wanted to go for a run. I love running the trails around there--it's so beautiful. So, we decided to squeeze in a quick run before dinner. About a mile into it, I tripped and fell on my face. Thankfully, I didn't hurt anything else--and my clothes didn't even rip! Not a way to end our trip for sure!!
2 Days later...
About a week later. I ended up getting strep right after we got home and got a steroid shot which the doctor said would really help my face. It healed so quickly! It was hard not being able to exercise, wear make up, do my hair or sleep on my side. I'm so thankful for quick healing and no scarring--just a little pink spot now!
Here's the book Gracyn made about our trip.

D.C. Trip Part 2

There are so many cool parks in the area...and the kids had so much fun checking them out! Here's our little basketball star...."shooting hoops" is his most favorite thing to do!!
Gracyn is a pro on the monkey bars!!! Add that to the list of things she learned in Kindergarten! :)
We went to watch Cousin Cole at his lacross game. Hudson loved all the gear too. I don't think there's  a sport that he's not into!

We had lots of yummy dinners. The kids loved eating at Clyde's and seeing all the fun stuff there!
Family Pictures!!
Grandmom and Grandad.

D.C. Trip Part 1

We decided to take a trip to DC and spend a long weekend there. It'd been two years since we'd been because we've been spending a week at Deep Creek lake in the summers instead.
At the airport just hanging out.

This was at the rental car place once we'd gotten there. Notice that they're sitting on separate ends of the chairs....it was late, they were tired, and I was DONE!! :) But really, they are great little travelers. It's just not right that they get a second wind and ALL wound up at 10:00 at night!!!
This is what happened as soon as we arrived at Grandmom and Grandad's. When we went in to check on them, we found Gracyn like this! This is why I don't like to sleep with her! (Notice the socks on her hands....)

There's just SO much fun stuff to do!! Gracyn said that she wanted to see some mummies, so we headed to the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. She had to make a book of her trip for homework, so that's why she's in most of these pictures. Hudson was ALL over the place--good thing Grandad's eyes were always on him! :)
 A Blue Heron Bird
We liked this cool tree made of metal.

Dinosaurs!!
Here's the part that she'd been waiting for...MUMMIES!!
The Hope Diamond
Gracyn and an asteroid.
The Capitol.
