Bike Ridin'

I took the kids and their bikes over to Meme and Pop's the other day. They were so excited to have their bikes go with them! They live on a cul-de-sac and it's totally flat--Gracyn needs some space to get the feel of her new bike. They loved the freedom to be able to ride all around the street!

Is it just me, or does she look SO big now??
She really looks HUGE in this one--she hopped on Hudson's tricycle and took off....he was NOT happy about that!
So, Pop put him up on Gracyn's bike to take it for a spin--he didn't really like that either.
He spent most of his time searching for roly pollies. He's obsessed with them right now! He'd find them and then put them in the back of his trike.
 It's serious business, folks!
It was FULL of them--YUCK!
It was getting hot out, so Pop found some hats for them to wear.

Hanging out with Pop is always fun!
But, then they heard the sound of the trash truck--could the day possibly get any better?!
They found a great spot to watch the action.
They even got a wave and a honk from the driver!!! Exciting times!

This & That

Gracyn asked me to take her picture while we were shopping in J Crew. She's such a great little shopping buddy!
This guy sure loves his "Hoooot Wheeeels!"

What could be better than having lunch in the fort? These two are becoming the best of friends and it just warms my heart!
They both love playing with the fridge toy magnets--one of the BEST toys ever!! It gets played with every day!
The other night, Gracyn wanted us to swaddle her to go to sleep. It brought back so many memories and made her look SO big!! It actually made her go to sleep rather quickly since she had to be so still. :) We did have to go back up there once to reswaddle her...that brought back some memories too--but at least it wasn't in the middle of the night. :)
I took this picture at church Sunday morning...love, love, love these two!!
This bucket head cracks me up!! He was trying to show me his "tars!"
Love this out take from our last day of school picture session....Hudson is a mess!
Pop sure does love these two!!

Last Day of School

Today was Gracyn's last day in the Owl Class. I can't believe that my baby girl will be in Pre-K next year....I only have one more year left with her before she goes off to big school and I'll hardly see her! (Tear!)
Here she is on her first day....
...and her last.
Her and Hudson on the 1st day....
 ...and the last.

I can tell that she's changed...she looks more and more like a little girl now and every bit of baby is gone. It's with Hudson that I can see the most change though. He's growing up WAY too fast in my opinion!!

I was trying to take pictures of them...but they are a friendly duo and say hi to everyone they see. Our neighbor had stepped onto her driveway and they had to say hello! (They say hello and tell Mr. Tom next door to have a good day every morning when they are waving goodbye to Daddy.)
We were so thankful for her teachers this year, Ms. Sharen and Ms. Amy. Gracyn has learned so much and had a wonderful year!! Pierce had to hop into our picture too! :)
We are so proud of this sweet girl and love her to pieces!!

Main Event Surprise!

Last year, Drew surprised Gracyn and picked her up from school. He took her on a date to Main Event. I mentioned that this was her last week of school and he panicked because he hadn't done it yet this year. She has talked about that day all year long! So, on Tuesday he picked her up and Gracyn insisted that Hudson and I join them, so we tagged along. :) We all had a great time!
We started out with bowling.
They're really getting the hang of it!
She was digging around in my purse looking for a snack!
Then they were off to play the games. They had so much fun--without having to spend the big bucks on these games!
But, last year Drew let Gracyn play a game--and she totally remembered it! So, they did it again--and Hudson LOVED it too! It's a roller coaster simulation.
He was done after round one, so I hopped on with Gracyn. Love making fun memories with my sweet family!

Bowling!

I signed the kids up for free bowling all summer long--they get two free games a day!! What a deal!!  It will be a nice place to go play once it gets super hot out. These two had so much fun!!
She was really excited that we found a pink ball.
The air blower was a hit with both of them. I told her what it as for and she kept asking to put her feet up there since they were sweaty in her shoes.
He liked putting his face in the air.
This wasn't really a relaxing outing for Mommy...I had to be on top of things at ALL times! Helping Gracyn & Hudson get their balls on the rack and positioning and repositioning it, making sure Hudson kept his hands out of the ball return, getting their timing right on not throwing the ball too soon when it was still setting up, and trying to keep them quiet because I'm sure the older men in the lane next to us--(with gloves, their own balls, and a rolling suitcase to carry their gear in) really appreciated the children right next to them in an empty bowling alley! We had a GREAT time though!

They lasted a whole game and a few frames before calling it quits. They were too excited about checking out the game room. They begged for quarters, but I didn't give them any--and they had just as much fun for free! :) Besides, even if I did give them money, they still wouldn't know how to play the games.
Nana wants to come with us the next time we go. We're all excited to play again!! Here's to a fun summer!!
