New Goggles

The kids are taking swim lessons right now, and Gracyn is so excited about going underwater. They are both doing great and love to go every time! They have both gained so much confidence in the water. She was so excited about her new goggles. Drew told her that she needed to put her hair in a pony tail first--she happily obliged! (Oh, how I wish she'd let me do her hair like this! I think she looks SO cute with a ponytail! Unfortunately, Gracyn doesn't feel the same way.)

 Could she be ANY more excited?!

Hudson would NOT let me take them off. He walked around for a good while with them on.

He sported some nice raccoon eyes afterwards. :)

Happy Father's Day!

 This little guy wants to be just like his Daddy....melts my heart!

 Can he be any cuter?

 Gracyn was so excited to give Drew his goodies. She asked every day for a week if it was Father's Day yet. 

 She made him a pen holder at school and had to wait A LONG time to give it to him.

  She was so proud of it!

 They were both excited about the Mickey & Minnie Mouse card!

 I made Drew a special card. I got the idea off Pinterest, but used his favorite candies and made up the words. 

He was pretty happy to see so much candy!

 

I asked Gracyn some questions about her Daddy. Some of her answers were pretty funny!

 We also got Daddy his favorite ice cream cake from Cold Stone. His big present was a new watch that he got months ago...so he's been enjoying Father's day for a while now. :) I am so thankful to have such an amazing man that my babies get to call their Daddy.....We love you!!!

Water Fun!

These two are having a ball playing in the water outside. I turn my back for a second and look what happens! :)

 

Trying to see if she can get away with it again since she didn't get a good soak because I caught her as she was getting in. She's a mess!!

 This pool is clearly meant for one person. We bought it when Gracyn was just a tiny little thing.

But, it works just fine for a place to cool off and enjoy a popsicle.

 

Hudson was NOT a fan of the sprinkler spider at first.

But, once he realized he could get a hold of the arms, he was all smiles and spent the rest of his time right there!

They both got new pool squirter toys and Gracyn loved using Hudson as her target practice.

Zoo Day

We enjoyed a fun day at the zoo--no crowds and an overcast sky...PERFECT conditions!! These two went for a ride on the elephant.

Clearly, the actual elephants were much more exciting to look at than me...

  On to the Tot Spot....I think we could spend the whole time here instead of walking around and looking at all the animals. They LOVE it!!

They have a ball "fishing".

 

The highlight of each trip though is getting to feed the fish. Gracyn absolutely LOVES this part!

 Hudson is getting the hang of it. The first few times he threw out all of his food at once.

 This time, Gracyn was the first one done and he shared some of his with her. Sweet brother!

     

June Cleaver

There are days when things just seem to be clicking right along...and I stop and think--I really have it together. And, the second I think that, everything falls apart. It's usually while I'm trying to make dinner, keep them happy AND getting along. Here's proof....

So, I set them up to water paint with these pictures that you can personalize and print off the computer. They loved them and I was so proud of how well things were going. 

 

 

Until....Hudson spilled his water EVERYWHERE and then Gracyn needed help in the bathroom. It's amazing how quickly things can unravel!

 

So, we got out the markers and Hudson colored the paper and himself--but at least I got dinner made!

Another time, I had them coloring at the table and thought how well they were doing--until I realized that Hudson was eating the crayons!

Seriously--what am I going to do with this kid?!!

At least she's getting better at following directions. :)

I was getting ready one morning and they were both sitting so nicely in their chairs while watching a show. I came out to check on them and found Hudson holding Gracyn's hot pink nail polish--with the lid off! He gave me a nice big smile to show what he'd done with it!

I guess he thought it looked like lip gloss!

Then he wiped it off with his shirt!

So, in the past 3 1/2 years--I've realized that I'm no June Cleaver and I wonder if she even exists? I've still got SO much to learn and I am loving EVERY minute of it! :)

Characters

We have two little characters on our hands these days! 

Drew was especially excited to see his son all decked out in necklaces and high heels the other night. :) Gracyn was quite put out because that's not what Woody would really wear!We are truly blessed with these two precious kiddos!
