We made it!! It was a tough year, but we did it! I really feel like it just flew by--we've come a long way in a year! :) My sweet baby boy is ONE!!!*He's doing so many big boy things these days--it's blowing me away! Just today he crawled up into the learning tower ALL BY HIMSELF!! YIKES! You should have seen the look on his face--SO proud of himself!
*He's saying more things: "Mama," "Dada," "Ta-too" (thank you) "Ahhh Dah" (All done) "Mah" (more), "Mum Mum" (when he wants one to eat), "I" (hi), "Ba Ba" (bye-bye)
*"The Wheels on the Bus" is his favorite song. Whenever he hears it, he starts doing all the hand motions--SO CUTE! He loves to clap his hands.
*He's getting really verbal at meal times. He'll sign "more" and say "mah" and sign "all done" and say, "ahh da." He prefers to feed himself these days and pretty much still eats anything we give him. I'm in the process of weaning him. He's down to only 2 feedings a day and next week we'll be down to one. He's doing great with his sippy cup full of milk!
*He's getting his 4th bottom tooth making a grand total of 8.
*He's getting a little braver when trying to walk. He's standing alone now and will transfer over to things without sitting down. I don't think it will be too much longer now.
*Everything looked great at his one year check up. Poor baby got four shots though and it was tough for Gracyn to watch. She stepped up onto the step stool, grabbed hand and said, "It's okay little buddy." And then started singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" to him. Melted.My.Heart!!! Drew asked me why I didn't video tape it--I was a little busy! :) I really wish that I would have though. Precious!
