Gracyn's Dance Recital

Not to be overshadowed by Hudson's birthday, but Gracyn had her dance recital that same Saturday.  Gracyn was a Groovy Chicken...."and her feathers shake, shake, shake!!"

 After getting up on stage for the dress rehearsal--she came home saying that she wanted to do dance again. Especially after the real thing, she was sold! So, I signed her up again for the fall. :)

I did an awful job taking pictures of the actual dance. Good thing Drew got a good video! (She's on the back row on the left.)

One of the things that she liked the most about the whole thing was being able to wear make-up. She couldn't wait for me to put it ALL on her!!

 She LOVED getting her pink flowers!

After the recital we went to eat dinner at Perico's. They had a bounce house there...and we joked that they knew that it was Hudson's birthday party day!

  

We had a wonder-FULL day of celebrating both of our precious little ones. It was a crazy day of partying and dancing and we loved every minute of it!! 

Birthday Presents!

Hudson got LOTS of goodies for his birthday! Grandmom and Grandad surprised him with a work bench. He was pretty shocked!

"Is that for me?"

He LOVES it! He's been busy tinkering and building everyday since he got it! I'm glad it's upstairs...the hammer isn't too loud! :)

Grandmom and Grandad also got Gracyn a little surprise...and new nightgown! She feels like a Princess! Can you tell she LOVES it? 

Gracyn was trying to be a big help....but someone really didn't need or want it. :)

More Hot Wheels!!

Gracyn also had a present from us to open while Hudson was opening...some new princess stickers!

He's excited about his new taxi cab shirt!

Meme and Pop got him a new car wash for his cars....perfect!! Meme also took him shopping to pick out his present. They went to Target and he picked out part of a city that you add to for his Hot Wheel cars. She said that once he saw that, his mind was made up and that was the only thing he was interested in. On the way home, the HOT DONUT light was on at Krispy Kreme, but Hudson didn't even want to stop. He needed to get home to play with his new toy. Gotta love his dedication!!:)

Hudson's Train Party

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUDSON!!

We decided to have Hudson's 3rd birthday party at the Train Station at the zoo. He LOVES his train table and all things train....so I thought this would be perfect. And, it was!! It was overcast--with a few sprinkles--but that kept things cool and  we ended up having the place to ourselves! We had it early in the morning, so it wouldn't be too hot and since we had Gracyn's dance recital that afternoon.

I made bags of food for them to go down and feed the ducks. That was a BIG hit!

We did a great job of holding down the fort while everyone else went for a ride. :)

 

The cake....(can you tell that someone just couldn't wait to get a taste of his cake?)

 

 

The favors....

 

I made little water bottles with all the kids' names on them and they filled them up with candy from the pinata. They each got a turn pulling a string.

But, it never opened up. So, Drew made a hole and I just started throwing it out.

They filled them to the brim!

We enjoyed a beautiful morning....spending time with family and great friends!

 
And, Grandad made a new friend! Tucker just LOVED him!!
