10 Months!

Gracyn is 10 months old today! Her first birthday will be here before I know it!! YIKES! She's growing up so fast!! She's changing and learning so much every day! She waves "hi" and "bye" now--when she's supposed to. :) She's such a little social butterfly. She will stare someone down to get them to look at her and then she puts on a little show for them. It's hysterical! She's turning into a little chatterbox too! She says, "Mama," "Dada," "hi," "no," "ball," "book," "meow," "bear" and "bird." She's really started sitting still and enjoying me reading to her. She'll bring me a book to read to her and want to get up in my lap. Precious!! She likes to play ball by rolling and throwing it back and forth. She'll dump out all her toys and find her ball and bring it over to you to play with her. She also LOVES to play Peek-a-Boo and she likes to be the one that hides--under a blanket or burp cloth or behind furniture. She also loves to clap her hands and will do it when she hears music or if we say "yea!" She also joined in on the clapping while Drew was watching golf on t.v. It was hilarious!
She's taken 2 steps by herself and loves to walk around with her push toy or by holding our hands. She loves to scoot her toys around the house with one hand while she's crawling. I find all kinds of toys in the most random places where she's crawled off and left them. She's a great eater and still only has 3 bottom teeth.
She's still sleeping great at night and has started taking longer naps too. HALLELUJAH! :) We're taking swimming lessons and she's turing into a little fish! She just loves the water and doesn't mind going under at all. We've also started music again and she is loving that too. She is so much fun and Drew and I feel so blessed to be her parents! (Gosh, I just love those cheeks!)

Trouble Maker!

I think I have a problem on my hands! I've got an escape artist! I caught her twice standing on her toys, peeking over the side of her play yard. I've also caught her climbing up it....but she realized that she wasn't getting anywhere and was stuck and started crying for me to rescue her. She is a MESS!! :)

Poor Baby!

We think that Gracyn has a dairy allergy. Anytime I give her anything with milk products in it, she ends up breaking out and looking like this. This was after eating mashed potatoes with lactose free milk in them and real butter. I made some more potatoes Monday night and didn't put anything in them and she was fine. I sure hope she grows out of this!!

D.C.

We had a great time visiting Drew's family in D.C. We were there for about a week, and Gracyn did GREAT! We stayed busy and did a lot of fun things while we were there.

We went on a hike at Great Falls.

We went to Glen Echo park and Gracyn rode her first carousel. It's been there since 1921!

My little brother, Ryan, came down to visit for a few days too! Wish his new wife, Virginia, could have come too!

And......they're out!!

We know that Gracyn is now bead free thanks to Daddy!! He's our hero!! Seriously, what won't you do for your child?

Bracelets Banned!

Gracyn had the cutest little silver beaded bracelet that she wore just about every day. Every where we went, she got compliments on it. Ava wore one when she was a baby, and still wears one today. I just figured Graycn would do the same. I loved her little bracelet.......UNTIL she ate it last night! We were on our way to dinner, and when we got there, Drew found her with half the bracelet left. We dug around in her car seat and found a few more beads, but not enough to fill the whole thing. We were pretty sure that she ate some. So, we called poison control and they said to go to the ER. We spent a few hours there and they did an x-ray of her tummy. Sure enough, there are 5 sterling silver beads in there....we could see them so clearly! She was in the best mood all night long. I think everyone in the waiting room was wondering what we were there for because Gracyn was just the happiest little thing. All the nurses and doctors commented on how happy she was too. They said that the beads would come out on their own and we have to "find" all of them to make sure they all come out. Fun times!! :) So, needless to say, we've banned all jewelry on Gracyn until we're sure she won't chow down on it!

Boxes!

This little girl LOVES playing with boxes! They can be any shape or size. She pushes them all over the house and tries to climb on top or inside them if they're big enough. She is so much fun! Oh, how I love her!!
