Library

We LOVE going to the library! We go once a week--on Thursdays after school. The kids love to give Mr. Gorilla a hug and sit in his lap!

The computer is also a BIG hit. They both like playing the "Dora's House" game.

If the weather is nice, we stop and play at the park.

Who can resist playing with sticks in the dirt???

So glad they enjoy going to the library and reading books!

Catching Up....

We went to eat at Chick-fil-a with Piper after dance class. The girls saw another friend from school there and they all had a ball playing together!

 

The kids each wanted to pick out some flowers for me when they went to HEB to get donuts one Saturday morning. What a sweet surprise!!

They love sitting in the car and pretending to drive. It makes things really interesting when I get in to go somewhere--every button has been pushed and the wipers are always going off!!

This little girl is becoming such a pro at setting the table. She does it without being asked--love her sweet heart!! She's SO proud of herself!

We had a "Family Movie Night" one Friday night and watched Despicable Me. We moved all the couch cushions onto the floor and piled on their pillowbeds and blankets. They absolutely LOVED it and keep asking us when we can do it again!

They even slept there that night!

Hudson has really gotten into playing football lately. They love to play with Daddy in the backyard.

Thanksgiving 2013

Gracyn had a Thanksgiving feast at school. She named herself, "Dancing Flower."

Here are the treats and "Thank You" notes that the kids gave their friends and teachers for Thanksgiving.

We had a lousy visitor over the break....a tummy bug! Boo!! :( I haven't been that sick in a long time! Gracyn was the only one who escaped its wrath.Thankfully we are all on the mend. We are blessed beyond measure and have SO MUCH to be thankful for!

Gracyn's Peter Pan Painting Party

Gracyn had been planning her Peter Pan Painting Party for a year. She wanted a party with her two favorite things--Peter Pan and painting! I'm so happy that everything she envisioned for her party turned out great...and her words was, "ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!" We had planned on doing all kinds of painting and art projects outside and get a bouncy house. We were also having a lady come to do face painting and balloons too. The one BIG snag in our plans was the weather! It was in the low 40s and raining! Boo!! So, we moved the party inside with 18 four and five year olds--and yes, just about everyone showed up! I had a table to paint figurines and do watercolor painting, a play-doh table, a jewelry making table, an ornament making table, big pieces of paper for them to marker on, and the face painter set up shop in the office. We also moved the cars out of the garage for them to do sidewalk chalk and ride on toys. Everything worked out great and everyone had a wonderful time!!

For the favors, I put the kids' names on pencil boxes and we filled them with all kinds of fun stuff.

The one requirement that Gracyn had for the face painter, was that she had to be able to paint Sleeping Beauty. I think she passed with flying colors. Gracyn was THRILLED with her princess arm!!

Ella loved her unicorn!

The lady was SO good. She could paint anything the kids asked for. Hudson wanted a snake on his arm!

I think HEB did a pretty great job on her Peter Pan cake!

As Gracyn was blowing out her candles, Brier thought he'd blow too....

She's telling on him right here--and he ended up blowing out her last candle. You snooze, you lose around here!!

She got a lot of fun presents. One of her favorites is this Princess Cupcake game. We play it at least once a day! ;)

Her friends know her well...she got a lot of art kits and art supplies.

And....a Minnie Mouse doll and clothes.

Aunt Laurie sent Gracyn a cookie bouquet!

Grandmom and Grandad got Gracyn the American Girl doll that she was wanting. Rebecca is the newest member of the Herron family and she just LOVES her!!

 She was so excited to get the ballet outfit that she was wanting too!!

 

 So thankful that this Peter Pan Painting Party was such a success!! Happy Birthday to the sweetest little five year old I know!!
