We drove down to the beach for the day last weekend. (I wasn't exactly thrilled with the plan...but it wasn't my idea and I "took one for the team.") Gracyn has been asking ALL summer to go to the beach and build sand castles. So, Drew thought it'd be a great thing to do in a day. (Did I mention that I was not on board?) The kids did great on the drive there and back and I finally got to finish a book that I started months ago. I have to admit, we did have a fun day. :)

Hudson showed no fear and would just walk right out into the ocean. I kept a close eye on him because he was ALL over the place.
The kids both had a great time!
My one BIG gripe was having to ride home with sand all over me. AND, then once we got home, I discovered that the ONLY place I got sunburned (really bad!) was on my back. Wonder how that happened??? Gracyn is already asking when we can go again......
