Breaking up is hard to do!!

It's OVER--DONE.....after three WONDERFUL years--the relationship has come to an end. They were really good together...

--through the good times and bad times...
--they were inseparable...
-- and the best of friends.

But, sadly, Gracyn and her paci are no longer together. :(

We'd been talking about how when Gracyn turned 3, we would say goodbye to her paci. She only had 2 left--one for school and one in her bed. We took them both with us on our trip over Thanksgiving. She chewed a hole in the white one on the plane, leaving her beloved pink one as the last one left. One night in the hotel she informed us that pink paci had a hole too. :( But, she kept right on trying to suck them as if nothing happened. Once we got home, we talked about how they were both broken and we should throw them away--plus she was now three and didn't need them anymore. She threw them in the trash, said goodbye, and didn't look back. UNTIL....it was time for bed.
Oh my, I wasn't prepared for such heartache! I knew Gracyn would have a hard time, but I never realized how hard it would be on me! She was devastated....heart broken.
I wanted so badly to fix it--but knew that this was the best thing for her and eventually she would be okay. The tears flowed for several days when we would get ready for bed. But, I can proudly say that after 5 days, this baby girl is quite grown up and is getting adjusted to life without her bestest friend. We're so proud of you Gracyn Kate!! Breaking up is hard to do!!
