Like Mother, Like Daughter

My parents came across this picture the other day and got a good laugh out of it--and then sent it to me. Gracyn may not look a thing like me.....but she is SO my daughter!!!
Like Mother....
...like Daughter
And, if you take a look at Amber holding a handful of flowers--that's just how you will find Ava if she's outside. It's crazy how much these two little girls are like their Mommies!

Macgyver Gracyn

This little girl's mind is always turning. She loves making things and using any kind of string or rope to do it. She's our little Macgyver!
She tied the gate closed with her jump rope and couldn't get out! Maybe she's a little too smart for her own good?
She's crafty...and clever. It's never a dull moment around here--and I LOVE it!! :)

Hodge Podge

Here's a little bit of this and that.....

I went out for the night, and Drew took these pictures. My mom had left some cupcakes on the counter. After Drew put Hudson to bed, he found this:
And a little girl proud of her accomplishment and enjoying her dessert.
Gracyn decided to put on my boots--HIL-AR-IOUS!
One night Gracyn found this hat while "trying" to go to sleep. She said that her ears were cold.....
Enjoying their pillow beds!
Hudson wanted to hold his new Easter basket on our way home from Target--I turned around and he had it on his head!
This little guy needs his own helmet. He LOVES wearing Gracyn's!
Enjoying an afternoon snack at the park.

Princess Party

Gracyn went to her friend Lily Kate's Princess Birthday Party and had a ball! When we got there, she got to pick out a princess dress to wear. Gracyn decided to be Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Then she got her nails painted and got to make a craft.
They played some games--Hot Potato--which was hilarious with a bunch of 3 year olds. Gracyn got out pretty quick.... (She's sitting SO lady like....)
....but every time it came back around, she stood back up to pass it. We were all cracking up!
Another game they played was that they each got to unwrap the present. It was wrapped 20 times, and each time it was unwrapped, there was a surprise to find. It was neat that each kid got a treat. Gracyn was the last one to go...she waited so patiently for her turn to come.
Rapunzel was there--which Gracyn just LOVED!! She crowned her "Princess Gracyn" and even sat at her table for pizza and cake.
Another game they played was that there was a hidden coin in one of the cupcakes. It was baked inside, so it was a surprise to whoever found it. It was taking them forever to find out who had it. The lady informed me that Gracyn had the "special" cupcake--but this little girl just licks the frosting off cupcakes and is done. I had to really talk her into taking a BIG BITE of the cake. She was pretty excited to be the winner and to get some extra prizes.
All the little Princesses and their Prince!

A Diaper and Crocs....

That is ALL that Hudson wants to wear these days!! It's driving me crazy! Every time I turn around....he's got another article of clothing off! Getting him dressed is the VERY last thing I do before we leave the house. I pick him up and put him directly in the car once we're done or else I'll waste time having to redress him. He throws a mighty fit too when it's time to get dressed. (Thankfully he keeps his clothes on in public.) I try and make him wear pants while we play outside--but you can see how successful I am.
First thing in the morning--before he even gets his milk cup--he's got his socks and pajama pants off. He'll leave the shirt on for a while, but that eventually comes off too. He gets so mad at me after his bath at night when I put footie pajamas on him. It's a chore--but he still manages to get somewhat out of it.
Try as he may--he can't get his feet free and it drives him crazy!
He usually makes his way over to me for help when he's had it!
FINALLY free--and happy as can be!!
Silly boy!

A Sweet Heart

Oh, how I love this little girl! I love watching her grow and learn new things. Last week at BSF, (Bible Study Fellowship), the children's story was about Paul escaping in a basket over the wall in Damascas. The next morning, she was rigging something up with her jump rope and I asked her what she was doing. She was helping Minnie escape from the bad guys and was getting her over the wall in a lunchbox. So proud that she was replaying the story in her own way. My heart was busting at the seams. Another sweet story....
Drew usually gets the kids up while I'm having quiet time in the mornings. The other day, he had to leave early, so I was listening for them while I was doing my Bible Study. I heard Gracyn turn off her sound machine and open her door, and I told her to come on downstairs and that I was in the office. But,she closed her door and stayed upstairs. A few minutes later, I went upstairs and found her sitting in her chair, reading her Bible. She told me that she was having her "quiet time" too. Love, love, love this sweet girl!! I pray that she continues to have a heart that longs to spend time with her Father, in His word.

Super Heros

I made everyone a Super Hero cape....they were a HIT! Gracyn said when she first put it on that it didn't work--she still couldn't fly--ha!
Hudson's off to save the day!
Or maybe just fix the sprinkler...Super Townsie! Amber said that he wore it the rest of the day and didn't take it off until bath time!
Here's something you don't see everyday....a pant-less Super Hero playing a recorder! :)
