{THREE!}

THREE!!!

I just can't believe my baby is three!! How have three years gone by SO quickly??!! He is, hands down, the cutest little guy I know! We've had a great day celebrating him today. Gracyn went to VBS at church, but Hudson isn't old enough, so we got to hang out all morning together. He planned our day....we started out by going shopping at Toys R Us.

He picked out a Rescue Center to add to his growing city of Matchbox & Hot Wheels buildings. He's so funny because he knows what he wants--and won't be persuaded into anything else once his mind is set.

Next, we were off to Target. He'd seen an excavator the day before and woke up with that on his mind. He decided that he needed buy that with his birthday money.

Then, he wanted to go to the mall to get a cookie.  Of course, one with sprinkles. We even picked up an extra one for Sissy! :)

A trip to the mall isn't complete without a visit to the Mickey Store. I told them that it was his birthday and they made a big production in the store and sang to him. He was eating it up!! :)

Then we went to pick up Gracyn at church. We had lunch at Chick-fil-a with Meme and the cousins. I forgot to take a picture of that--but fun was had by ALL!! :) Daddy came home early and Hudson chose to eat at Alamo Cafe for his birthday dinner.
They even brought him some ice cream for a special treat!!
Drew sent his picture in to the morning news show and they wished him a Happy Birthday on t.v. He LOVED seeing himself on the screen!! (Now, Gracyn can't wait for her birthday and for her picture to be on t.v. too!)

Hudson is such a fun loving, easy going little guy who loves to laugh and has such a sweet heart. He cracks us up all day long! Here are some things about Hudson that I don't want to forget....
*He is VERY independent. He likes to dress himself--several times a day I might all--and doesn't want a bit of help from me. His striped shorts and taxi cab shirt are his outfit of choice and he will change into them the minute he wakes up or we walk in the door. He also wants to buckle himself into his carseat WITHOUT any help from me!
* He loves his Hot Wheels cars and can tell you where he got each one or who gave it to him. I don't know how he keeps up with it all? He keeps them all in a green bucket and they have to be in his bed with him when he sleeps. We are out growing the bucket though after all his birthday goodies!

*He's always on the look out for any kind of special cars or vehicles while we're driving. It's his lucky day if he sees concrete mixers, tow trucks, car transporters, ambulances, firetrucks, police cars, etc.....as you can imagine he is constantly yelling out about something he sees. He and Gracyn are obsessed with finding blue cars for some strange reason. When they see one, they yell out, "BLUE CAR!" ????

*He doesn't really love watching t.v. Sure, he'll watch with Gracyn, but doesn't have any shows that we record for him on a regular basis. He does like to watch Mickey. BUT, his vice is playing on the ipad. He would be on it for hours if we let him! (Which we don't!) He likes to watch you tube videos of Hot Wheel and train tracks. He also likes any game that Drew is playing.
*He is a little chatter box!! The way he says things are so cute! I know he will start saying things right soon enough like Gracyn did....so I'm soaking up the little bit of baby that is left!
~ "L" sounds are "Y".... lollipop is "yawyipop"
~"G" sounds are "D" ....Gracyn is "Daythyn"
~"C" sounds are "T"....car is "tar"
~"F" sounds are "P"....phone is "pone"
~"S" sounds are "TH"....shark is "thark"
~"V" sounds are "B"...Ava is "Aba"

*He loves to drink chocolate milk, apple juice and sodas! HELLO sweet tooth!! He's liked sodas from an early age--where Gracyn still can't stand to even take a sip. He guzzles your cup down if you aren't watching! Little stinker!!

*He loves his big sister with all his heart!! He really looks up to her. They are playing so well together now....love that!!
We LOVE you Huddy Buddy and wish you the happiest third birthday!! What a FUN day!! You are such a sweet blessing that completes our family!! Even though you are three, you will always be my baby! His response:  "NO! I'm not youw baby betause I'm fwee!"

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!

We had a great Father's Day!
I had Gracyn answers these questions again and some of her answers were hilarious! We also got him a jar of one of his favorite candies and some other goodies.

Grandmom and Grandad were here so we got to celebrate with them too! We had a cook out over at Meme and Pop's.
Just missing the little brother in this picture....
So thankful that we are surrounded by such amazing fathers who love their children and the Lord with ALL their hearts!!!

Pool-a-Pool-Looza

Lifetime had a pool party to kick off the summer--the kids had a BLAST!! Drew and I went to an Insanity class first, and then partied it up at the pool with the kids. They had a big water slide that they couldn't wait to try! Gracyn LOVED it...
...and couldn't wait to get back in line to do it again.

Hudson on the other hand, only did it once. He was a little dazed and confused after he came down. :)
He spent most of his time in the bouncy house with a smaller slide, and was a happy camper.
Gracyn like it too!
There were also snowcones! They keep asking when the pool party is coming back....they don't understand that it's only once a year. Such a bummer when you get to the pool and we're only swimming!
Such a fun day!!
Here's to a FUN summer!!

Stuff

Here's a bunch of random stuff....
There's some construction work being done next to our neighborhood. Drew and Hudson went on an adventure to check it out and see all the big machines. They had a fun time--can you tell!
Hudson decided to do some push ups like Daddy.  He loves to "esercise!"
Twice a week, every week....and it never gets old!!
Gracyn's best little friend, Pierce, came over to play while his mom went to an appointment. They ALL had lots of fun playing dress up!
These two sat and watched videos of a lady singing lullabies for a good thirty minutes. They LOVED it!

TRAGEDY!!! Gracyn was throwing Minnie up in the air and she got stuck up on top of the window in our room. You would've thought the world was ending with the way she came running out to the living room to tell us.
This kid LOVES his taxi cab shirt--almost as much as the striped shorts. If it's clean, he's wearing it. We sent Uncle Ry Ry and Aunt Ginia this picture to ask for a bigger size for his birthday present from them. He's excited about getting another one! What is it about this kid and his obsession with certain clothes?? Goodness, I love him though!! :)
And check out this outfit...I let her go to Hobby Lobby wearing her Sleeping Beauty socks with her jellies--I know, I know, a fashion nightmare!! But, you learn to pick your battles and I was done for the day. She was a happy camper and that's all I really want when running errands! :)
(And yes, we are in the bathroom--we visit it at almost every place we go. Running errands takes f.o.r.e.v.e.r!!!)

Gymnastics

The kids have started taking gymnastics. I found a class where they can both take it at the same time and they are in class together. Win/win in my book!! :) They had a blast in their first class and can't wait to go back. They are kinda strict with their rules, but I think it will be a good thing for both of them to learn to pay attention better.
Hudson practicing a cartwheel.
Gracyn practicing her cartwheel. Her coach said that she picked it up really quick.
Wall  stands.
Jumping over the beam onto the stars.
Jump tucks down the trampoline. They both LOVED the trampoline and catching bubbles--their favorite parts!
We'll see if Gracyn wants to stick with gymnastics or go back to dance. Right now she's thinking she's through with dance and just wants to do gymnastics...time will tell!

Four is TOO Many for Me!!

I had all four kiddos the other day...and I came to a conclusion--4 is too many for me!! Especially having four kids 4 and under!! Amber went to Ava's field day at school and Meme went to a meeting at church....so I had them all. To top it off, our housekeeper was here that day and we had to stay out of her way. So, I decided that we'd all head down to the park. I put Brier and Hudson in the wagon, Gracyn rode her bike and Towns said that he could ride the trike. I asked him if he could pedal...yes--if he could steer...yes. So, off we went. We got halfway down the street and I found out that Towns could really do neither. So, I pushed him with one hand while pulling the wagon and yelling for Gracyn to wait for us. We finally made it to the park--and I must say that everyone had a great time!
Even Brier was ALL smiles!
Hudson was doing an exercise move--I heard him counting as he was pulling himself up and down. Ha!
They were all looking for buried treasure.
Not one of them was looking at me!! So much for a cute group shot!
We came home--Gracyn on her bike, me carrying the trike, and pulling all three boys piled in the wagon.  Halfway home, we forgot their water bottles, so we ALL had to turn around and go back. I shouldn't have run that morning--it was a great work out in itself!! We had popsicles and played with chalk. (The floors were wet, so we had to stay out--much to Brier's dismay!)

Gracyn found her float and was ready to go swimming with it....another day!
She also found my phone and snapped a few selfies!
And, this one of me and Meme talking. Check out Brier trying to stand up on the sit & spin so he could reach the ball. That kid knows NO fear!!
We had a fun morning...and I was worn out by the end of it. Glad I just have my two little rascals to wrangle! :) Whew!
