Chrismas Day 2014

He came!!! He came!!!

This was the first year that Gracyn looked at her own stuff first before checking out what Hudson got. :)
He as a little bummed that he didn't get the Triple Track Twister--BUT he said that he wanted the Super Loop Chase Race from Santa, so that's what he got. (Little did he know that his beloved TTT was wrapped up under the tree!)
All she asked for and wanted were the stuffed dolls from Frozen...so, that's what she got! And, she was THRILLED!!
Just a few treats and small toys in their stockings this year. They never eat all the candy, so just having a few of their favorites made it gone in no time!

She was SO excited to get Frozen tap ties for dance class in her stocking!
He LOVES his new bath toys!
Oh, how she longed for this Frozen jewelry box!!
When Hudson opened this up, he said, "But I already have this?!" Daddy really got it for himself so they could have battles!
Gracyn was REALLY wanting this Snackeez cup too! She was so practical in trying to talk me into buying it. Those infomercials really work!!
Another favorite!!
Gracyn made a snowman ornament with her fingerprints at school. LOVED it!!
An Oriels hat--which he asked for--to help with his collection of team apparel.
THERE IT IS!!!! The Triple Track Twister!!! Thank you Grandmom and Grandad!!!
New pillowcases....guess who Gracyn got on hers?? ELSA!!
Aunt Am got Gracyn new Frozen earrings and it was just what she needed to finally change hers out. She refused to take out the ones she got pierced with. They'd been in for over a year!!

She LOVES the new ones!! (And, it wasn't as scary as she thought it'd be at all!)
We headed over to Meme and Pop's for a yummy lunch.
It was a Merry, Merry Christmas indeed!!

Christmas Eve 2014

We were SO happy to have Aunt Virginia and Uncle Ryan here for Christmas this year!! We spent Christmas Eve at Meme and Pop's as usual. We start out the evening with all kinds of appetizers and fun!
Aunt Virginia and their dog, Jean Louise
I love these two so!! (And the photo bomber in the back!)

I buy a cookie cake and have them write "Happy Birthday Jesus!" on it and we all sing Happy Birthday to our savior. The kids each get their own candle to blow out. This is one of their favorite things!
Meme always buys a new book for Christmas for us to read aloud.
And.....then it's time to OPEN PRESENTS!!!
Definitely the year of FROZEN!!
Hudson's new Redskins jersey was a HIT!
(Sure wish the team was too though...Drew said that he's afraid that he's set him up for a lifetime of misery!)
Ava loved the lava lamp we got her!
The light sabers that we got the boys were a smashing success too! Amber said that they sleep with them at night! Ha!
Everything was all set up and ready for Santa to arrive. We forgot to put out the reindeer food...I forget it every year!

December Fun!

Here are some fun things we were up to in December.
Drew and I got to go to some friend's Christmas Party and Meme and Pop watched the kids. Date night!!!
We decorated a ginger bread house. I hot glued the house together first and then we decorated it. (Genius!) They LOVED it and Hudson declared it the "BEST DAY EVER!!" He says that about a lot of things...but it just reminds me that every little thing is so fun for them and I want to make as many fun memories as possible!!
The finished product! They were SO proud of their work!

We went looking at Christmas lights one night....they didn't last too long though.

2nd Annual Cookie Party

We had our annual cookie decorating party to decorate cookies for Santa. Last year, on a whim, I invited some friends over to decorate cookies after we all stated that we still had to do it. Rather than us all bake cookies....I decided to make them and have them over. Well....it was a huge hit, and everyone was asking if I was doing it again--so I guess a tradition has been born!:)  Here's the invite I emailed out.
My little baker and I made 90 sugar cookies...whew! It took us all afternoon!

I'm so mad that I didn't take any pictures while everyone was there. Shana took a few and sent them to me.
Everyone had a great time! I'm so glad the weather was good since there were 21 kids there!! It really didn't seem like that many though since they were in and out and all spread out.
I made little package hair bows as favors for the girls. They were hot pink or red to choose from. I had hair ties for the moms and pencils for the boys. I also personalized platters with their last names to put their cookies on.
We can't wait to do it again! I've already got most of next year all planned out too. Gotta love 80% off Christmas stuff at Hobby Lobby! :)

Hudson's Big Boy Bed

Hudson got a new big boy bed.....and it's a BUNK BED!! He was SO excited--while sister said, "That's not fair about a thousand times.

You better believe there were tears and huge drama over who slept in the top bunk first--but can you tell by the look on his face who won?? :)
Sweet boy....
I still haven't figured out what I going to do decorating wise yet. We bought these beds quickly since the price went down a lot online...so I'm on the hunt for twin boy duvets. It's so hard to find cute boy stuff. Sheesh!
