6 Months!!

Stats:
Weight: 17 lbs 6 oz. 75 % Percentile
Height: 27 1/2 in. 95% Percentile

Can she really be 1/2 a year old already?? These past 6 months have been such a blessing! Gracyn is doing so many new things and we love watching her! We've just stopped swaddling her to sleep and she's doing great with that change. Trying to change her eating habits though is a different story. It has been an uphill battle! She still flat out refuses to take a bottle...even with juice in it! She HATES cereal....and I've tried it with everything I can think of! She doesn't like baby food either! I'm not sure what I'm going to do with her..... She presses her lips together and puts her tongue in the middle so there's no way you can get anything in. She's a smart, determined little girl who knows what she wants! She's sitting up so well on her own and rolling over all over the place. She's also pulling herself forward when she wants to get something. She knocked over my cup of water the other day and it surprised me because it was pretty far from her and I didn't realize she could scoot forward like that. She's also started pulling up on things...not on her own, but with our help. I had Drew and my dad lower her crib the other night because I didn't want to take any chances with her mastering a new skill and falling out. She's working on teething, but nothing has come through yet. She's drooling like crazy and is chewing on everything she can get her hands on. Her whining and colic have subsided...which I'm so thankful for!! She's become such a happy little baby and I'm loving this stage. She's full of smiles and giggles for us and we couldn't love her more!

Drooler!

No teeth yet.....but we're trying!

Swaddle Free!

Well....we did it!! Gracyn is now FINALLY swaddle free!! We've been SO nervous to make this transition. She loved her swaddle and fell right to sleep in it. We were really dreading the day we had to unswaddle her. She was waking up a lot in the middle of the night and out of her swaddle so we decided it was time. She has done GREAT!!! She's sleeping through the night again and even later than normal! We started with naps and then moved to night time. We just lay her down and she goes right to sleep...and she's figured out how to get her paci back in for the most part. We should've done this sooner! We are so proud of our sweet liitle girl!!

And away we go!

I just started running again this week. Gracyn loves the jogging stoller....as long as we stay moving. She starts fussing the minute we stop! I've got a long way to go to get back to what I was running before I got pregnant. I can't even run a mile straight yet! It's a lot more work pushing the stroller too! Hopefully my arms are also getting a work out! :)

Mirror, Mirror on the Wall...

Gracyn loves to look at herself in the mirror! It is so cute to see her face light up and she grins from ear to ear when she sees her reflection. She really starts talking to herself and gets such a kick out of the person looking back at her. I love to watch her!!

Family

It was so nice to be with family all last week. Everyone was there for my grandfather's funeral. My Uncle Preston & Aunt Diane came in from Alabama and my cousin Amy and her daughter, Emily, came in from Arkansas. Ryan and Virginia were also there along with Amber, Malcolm & Ava. PaPa B would've loved having everyone there. It's such a shame that it takes a funeral to get the family to all come together.
