Missions Game

Last weekend we took the kids to a Missions baseball game. It's the minor league team here in town. They had a BLAST!! I'm not sure how much of the game they actually watched. We made lots of trips to the bathroom and to get hotdogs, cotton candy, popcorn, snow cones....
They also had a ball playing in the little kid area. Hudson practiced his pitching skills....
They both loved going down this slide. Hudson always went down on his tummy.

 They jumped in the bouncer.

This little girl is bound and determined to master the monkey bars. These were just her size!
They can't wait to go back again! Not sure if they'll watch the game, but I'm sure they want to play and fill their bellies with junk food! :) Fun times!

Bittersweet

Last Sunday was the last one at our church building. Our new church is finally ready for us to move in! It's all very bittersweet for me. While I'm excited about what's to come, I'm sad to be leaving a place that is filled with so many memories. This is the place that my dad baptized me. The place where I spent time with precious friends building friendships that would last a lifetime. The place where I promised to spend forever with the love of my life and was married. The place where I blessed both my babies and promised to raise them knowing who their Savior is.
The new church is really nice and new--but right now it's just a building. I'm looking forward to new beginnings and making memories with my children and our family--so that they can say and experience all I did as they grow up in the church.

Easter 2013 Part 2

"But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed."
Isaiah 53:5

So thankful we got to spend the day with family and celebrate the amazing gift that Jesus gave us all!

Family pictures after church.
Easter egg hunt and lunch at Meme and Pop's!
These two followed each other all around again.
As Hudson was getting this egg, he had his eye on the next one.
But, Towns got to it first!
Enjoying their treats!
A mouth FULL of candy!
Hudson was trying to climb up into Town's chair to see what kind of goodies he found--and Towns was NOT happy about it!
Nana got them all chocolate bunnies.
They ate the ears first.
I think she likes it!!
We tried out the new bath ramp that night--and found out the next day it works great in the shower too! All Hudson wants to do is take a bath or shower now!! Aunt Am got them bath fizzies that change the color of the water. We had blue...and then green water. They thought it was SO fun!!
What a WONDERFUL day!!

Easter 2013

We had two excited little kiddos the night before Easter!!
They left signs with their names on them where they wanted the Easter Bunny to leave their treats and fill their baskets. I did this as a kid too.
Hudson wrote an "H."
And Gracyn wrote her name and drew a picture of herself.
We made cookies with cousins the day before, so we had treats ready to leave the Bunny.
The Easter Bunny sure did know exactly what Gracyn and Hudson wanted! EVERYTHING was a hit!!

 Waking up Easter morning...

Hudson's new monster trucks were well received!
A bunch of new "tars" made him squeal with delight!( I love how he lines them up like that! :)
But, the BEST treat was the car ramp that goes in the bathtub! Tub toys seem to be a hit or miss--but this one was definitely a HIT! They both LOVE it--and it really works!
Gracyn was SO thrilled to finally have her Wendy doll!!
All the other Peter Pan goodies were just icing on the cake! She loves her new Peter Pan charm bracelet too!
What a fun start of the day!

Cookies with Cousins

We had the cousins come over for some Easter fun! We made some sugar cookies and decorated them. They LOVED eating them!

Then we decided to have an egg hunt in the backyard. These kids are getting some great hunting skills!
I snapped this right before Ava ran smack into Gracyn! She was looking in her basket and wasn't watching where she was going. No tears though...there were still eggs to be found!!

I love this picture...Ava walked right by the yellow swing and knocked an egg out without even knowing it.
Gracyn saw it fall and ran over speedy quick to scoop it up into her basket!
These two followed each other all around the yard.
And this little guy just liked walking around, holding his bucket.

We did fight everyone off to let Brier get one. :)
It was good practice and they all had a ball! What's better than ending the afternoon being pushed on the swings??
