Austin Day Trip

On Saturday,we went took a day trip to Austin. Gracyn has been asking to go for months now and we finally had a free weekend to go. We all got something we loved out of this trip--a win/win for everyone!! We started down by the lake for a 4 mile run. It was fun to have a change of scenery--we SO wish that we had somewhere like that to run here! Then we headed over to the Big Top Candy Shop and the kids got to fill their bags full of all different kinds of gummy candies. Followed by a  quick stop at the fire station and then off to get snow cones and cupcakes--dessert before lunch?? Now you know why Gracyn LOVES going to Austin so much! :) Drew wanted to try this barbeque place that he'd heard great reviews about. After at least a 30 minute wait--and a trip to the bathroom in a port-a-potty, we finally got to eat-outside in the heat. (I was a real trooper & only whined once!) I have to admit that it was REALLY good barbeque though and I would say worth the wait. Then we headed out to find a splash pad park for the kids to play. They LOVED it...and again, I wish we had these here in San Antonio!! We ran into a family from church there too--what are the odds of that??
We made a pit stop on the way home at the Outlet Malls. I only got to go to two stores--do you know how hard it is to leave a shopping haven only having been to two stores? But, two is better than none and I didn't walk away empty handed. :) Having the kids and Drew in tow did make me a quick shopper--I think Drew would prefer that anyways. I thought for sure these two would crash in the car on the drive home....no such luck!
We came home and took baths, put on our pajamas and crawled into our pillow beds to watch Peter Pan. What a great way to end a day filled with fun memories!

Water Fun!

These two LOVE playing with the water hose. It's something that keeps them occupied for a good while. I have a feeling we'll be doing it a lot this summer!!
Hudson was the first one with a turn at the hose....
But, he got upset that he lost the hose privilege because he shot water in the house!
Then Gracyn yelled, "Hey Hudson, pretend you're a flower!!" So she'd have a perfect excuse to hose him down! This girl cracks us up! We didn't let him fall for it, by the way.
Love these two!

Grandmom and Grandad's Visit

We always cherish the time that we get to spend with Grandmom and Grandad--and we were thrilled that we'd be able to celebrate Grandmom's birthday and Mother's Day with her!
The kids loved singing Happy Birthday...
...and Hudson loved being the one to help blow out the candle!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDMOM!!
We took the kids' picture and gave it to Grandmom.
Grandad did his duty of being the swing pusher.
This little guy loves to swing!!
A good game of Duck, Duck Goose--fun had by all!!

Daddy taking a break--he was worn out after a game of Duck, Duck, Goose and freeze tag. Gracyn's always got a list a mile long of games she's wanting to play!
Hudson is learning how to be a better driver...not running over Gracyn is a huge improvement! :)

Could these two be any cuter??!!

 Hudson loves playing with Grandad!

It's never easy to say goodbye to Grandmom and Grandad....we can't wait to see them again in a few weeks!!

Mother's Day at Meme & Pop's

After church, we had lunch over at Meme & Pop's for Mother's Day. Here's a picture of all the grandkids...and Brier being his usual self! :)
We did finally get a good one of him smiling.
And one of these two boys being silly...a glimpse of what's to come I suppose!
Uncle Ry-Ry called and we all got to Facetime with him. Gotta love technology--even makes New York City seem close!
 Sister chats!
All the kids LOVE this pink car--like fight over it all.the.time love it. We can't figure it out??
Hudson had just snatched it away from Towns. So we made him give it back.
He wasn't too happy about that...
So, we'll look for a roly poly instead--one of their favorite past times these days!
None of them ever eat a good lunch when they're all together. Who can blame them--too many distractions!
Gracyn keep s close eye on her little brother...
She told us that we all needed to go outside to watch her show. She lined up all the chairs and told us all where to sit. Then she announced what show she'd be doing and needed help with the parts. This was Peppa Pig. I was Mommy Pig, Drew-Daddy Pig, Hudson-George, and Gracyn was Peppa. It was pretty funny.

Then they did Max and Ruby and Meme got to participate as Grandma. They had a great time! This little girl never stops thinking of things to do!

Projects

I know I sound like a broken record, but I LOVE my silhouette!! There are just SO many fun things to make!!Here are a few things that I've been working on...
Lap Desk
Serving Trays
Cups
I even gave my work out bottles a little make over!
 Bags
I've already got Gracyn's end of the year gifts ready to go. One less thing to worry about! I found the popsicle tags on Pinterest and then downloaded them into my silhouette. There are five different colors and I think they turned out SO cute!! What kid doesn't like popsicles? :)
