Volcano

We went up the volcano, Haleakala, to watch the sunset--and it didn't disappoint!! It's was an hour drive from our hotel, but SO worth it!! The drive up the volcano is full of switch backs and high cliffs--I was surprised that Drew didn't get sick driving it! We made it though! So crazy to be up higher than the clouds!!

We had planned on doing this, so we packed some cold weather clothes. But, my goodness--it was SO cold! I should've packed a parka!! The wind was SO cold and just blew right through you! It was hard to believe that an hour earlier I was sitting on the beach in a bikini!!

The view was breath-taking!

We sat down behind some rocks to help block the wind and waited for the sunset.

We loved doing this--but it's something you only do once! :)
